A CRISP & WARM SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 23rd/ DECEMBER 2015.

I was up before dawn again and took ‘Charlie’ & then ‘Barny’ for their first walks of the day, ‘Reina’ arrived for the day a little later and now ‘Chispa’ is here playing with all her friends!

I then shot out down to Sabinillas, my first port of call was the bank for some cash, next I called into the ‘Ferraterias’ for a ‘Hand Rail’ to go on the wall of the shower/bath as us old ‘Pensioners’ need to take care at our age! The foreman from the site is going to fix it later!! I picked up the local newspapers from the English Bookshop as well as a ‘TV Times’ ( first time ever!) and then carried onto ‘Mercadona’ for some last minute bits & pieces.

It’s another fine day here in sunny Manilva and down on the ‘Costa Del Sol’- the forecast is remaining good for over the long Xmas weekend and into next week and the New Year – 2016!!

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Chicken Curry’ ( last weeks in the deep freeze) with Basmati Rice and then tomorrow evening for ‘Noche Buena’ I picked up another ‘Rib of Beef Steak’ this morning, as we enjoyed it last Saturday, I will grill it on the very hot Griddle Plate and then slice it ‘French Style’ The special ‘Xmas Turkey’ this year from ‘Iceland’ for a change, is going in the oven during tomorrow so as to get us ahead of the game on Xmas Day! Finally I will collect our ‘Rib of Beef’ (2 ribs!) from our local Butcher some time tomorrow morning, its for ‘Boxing day’!!

Last night we had a nice supper with our friend Andy along with a good catch up with all his news, the ‘Crisp Dumplings’ were ‘Scrummy’ and the ‘Beef & Mushroom Stew’ was very tasty, the Beef was also very tender, we then settled down and watched the start of the Finals of ‘Master Chef – The Professionals’ on BBC 2 and then later over on BBC 1 the second special episode of the excellent series “ Luther “ which was very exciting and gripping, to say the least! Andy had not seen it before and enjoyed it also.

He then recommended an online Web-Site on which you can watch all sorts of TV series from over the years on all of the English TV Channels, he downloaded and installed it onto my new computer system and we then, as a trial, watched the very first ‘Pilot’ episode of my favourite ‘New Tricks’ This now means that we will be able to watch the ‘Luther’ series from the past four years!!

I also yesterday managed to get another programme ready for my Radio Show on ‘Castle Radio FM 89.2 & the WWW’ in the New Year – watch this space for the details and times!!

Mano called in yesterday and sorted out our land line phone after calling ‘Jazztel’ and is coming back with Anna to help sort out the two Mobile phones; also yesterday one of our Pensions arrived early into our new Bank Account, this happens at this time of the year depending on the Bank Holidays!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
