A VERY CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 7th 7 DECEMBER 2015.

We had a good lie in this morning as the village is very quiet, the workmen are not here as its a Bank Holiday and also its a little crisp outside; the forecast for the week ahead is looking settled with the sun braking through each day, there is a little breeze making it crisp but its keeping dry and clear! It will be the same again tomorrow as its another ‘Bank Holiday’ but this time we will be up early, later in the day another one of the village ‘ Parranda’ Xmas Bands is coming around the streets so hopefully I will get some pictures this time after I get help tomorrow from Lee/ Daniela to fix the problem with the camera/computer system! Watch this space.

We took ‘Barny’ for his first walk of the day around the bottom of the village and around the ‘Plaza de la Vendimia’- when we got back ‘Chispa’ was waiting for us and is now playing around my feet, tomorrow ‘Reina’ is here first thing for the day and now ‘Scruffy’ is also joining us as well and ’Barny’ is still here until the late evening so we could have 4 dogs with us tomorrow morning!

PS; 'Barny' is now staying with us until Wednesday evening as the folks have just called from Lisbon to say that they are delayed on business and won't be back until Wednesday evening!

For breakfast we had a ’Small English’ I had ‘Campo’ fried Eggs & crispy Smoked Bacon and Brenda had her Bacon with grilled Mushrooms & Tomatoes, all with lots of buttered toast and mugs of steaming tea! I then topped up the ‘Hot Pot’ with more Spanish Cutlets & assorted Vegetables then topped it off with finally sliced Potatoes ready to go back in the oven this evening
.
After last nights power cut we had our supper later as the oven had to re-heat, the TV went into lock down mode, the PC had to be re-set and the main computer system upstairs in the office needed re-booting and finally Brenda’s heart on-line monitoring system came back on automatically! We were lucky as the power engineers came along to our junction box at the top of our street first, some parts of the village were off for another hour as they worked themselves around! It was one of the three main transformers that had blown so that’s why the street lights were still on! We have candles in stock for this happening as well as two torches at the ready – ‘Be Prepared’ is our Motto for the day!!

We are having an at home day today and at lunchtime we are going out with ‘Barny’ and we are going to cut some ‘Pine Tree’ branches for our Xmas decorations from above the ‘Plaza de la Vendimia’  The Xmas decoration’s  and the tree with all the new ‘Gold’ decorations are going up tomorrow – watch this space.

On Wednesday morning we are at the hospital over in Marbella for my annual ‘Prostrate’ check up/review with my Consultant – ‘Fingers Crossed’ On the way back we are going to call into the jewellers/ repair shop in Estepona as our ‘Carriage Clock’ that was a wedding present from our Best Man, Fred, Carol’s husband, has stopped, I might have over wound it?!

Over in England yesterday in the ‘Premiere League’ Liverpool did not play well and lost 2-0 at Newcastle.

This evening we will catch up with the high lights of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ which we missed last night and then we will channel hop to find something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
