A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 11th/NOVEMBER 2015.

We were up as normal this morning and sorted ourselves out for the day ahead, after breakfast I went and collected the car from the underground car park and came back up to the house to check the oil & water coolant as well as the screen wash water, later we checked the tyre pressure down at the garage in Sabinillas as we topped up the petrol, this means the car is already for its ‘ITV – MOT’ a week to day over in Estepona.

It’s another beautiful day here in sunny Manilva,the sun was out early and the sky is bright blue, there is no breeze so its a perfect day down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ The forecast for the rest of week and over the weekend is for more of the same but a little cooler as the tail end of the windy Atlantic front that is hitting the UK at the moment goes over us!

We called, first, at Lillemor’s and picked up a small bag, a box of music and a small black sack of hats that we are going to look after/store until Gillian gets over in the new year; we then shot down to the English butchers in Duquesa Marina and picked up some ‘Lambs Liver’ for tomorrow nights supper.

We then came back to Sabinillas and called into the ‘Banco Popular’ branch and met the new manager Antonio Mulero Parraga; we then had a long chat with him and have arranged to transfer our accounts over from our old bank in Estepona,we are calling in on Friday morning to sign the contracts – thanks to Antonio for his kind attention, we are looking forward to the future with our new bank!

As we returned to the house 'Chispa' was waiting for us and is playing around my feet as I'm typing/posting the Blog.

For tonight’s supper we are now having a ‘Steak Pie’ ( Iceland!) with diamond cut Green Beans, Carrot Batons & some small Baby New Potatoes with butter and  chopped Parsley.

Last night we watched ‘Rick Stein Venice to Istanbul’ as he crossed over to Greece, a very nice Filo Pastry Chicken Pie & a Brochette of Pork were the stars with no offal in sight! We then caught the first in a new series of ‘Master Chef – The Professionals’ as they mucked up the basic dishes to start in the  basic skills part of the programme,  before watching the last ever/ final episode of “ Lewis” Finally it was time for the ‘Jonathan Ross Show’

Thoughts for the Day ; See above.
