A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 17th/ NOVEMBER 2015.

I was up early this morning to welcome ‘Reina’ here for the day but sadly Daniela is not well and is off work so ‘Reina’ has stayed at home with her, I went back to bed for an extra hour and listened to the Breakfast Show on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2’ We then had our usual breakfast of ‘Weetabix’, toast & tea, I then shot along to the local ‘Tabacs’ in Calle Mar to top up my ‘pay as you go’ Mobile, its the most beautiful day here in sunny Manilva, the sun was out early and the sky is blue, there is no breeze and by lunchtime it will be warm as its reaches 21/22 degs, during the night its still only down to 16/17 degs which for the time of the year is exceptional; the next few day up to Saturday are similar before the tail end of an ‘Artic’ blast coming in across Europe makes it a little cooler!

Yesterday evening just I was about to cook our supper the gas went off so I changed the bottle and tried again to light the gas rings, no luck, so I changed the batteries in the new boiler , as we had been shown, they ignite the flame, still no luck, after several more attempts we gave up and rang for the assistance of the engineer ASAP! It also means that we have no hot water to shower or wash in!! We ended up in ‘Bar Castillo’ for our supper, Juan looked after us and his wife Paqui,  who had just made some fresh Tapas, produced a ‘Buffet’ of them with crisp ‘Frits’! Fingers crossed that the engineer comes to day to sort the boiler out!!

So for tonight’s supper we are going to get some individual 'Steak & Ale Pies' ( Iceland!) out of the deep freeze that we could warm up in the electric oven and bake a couple of Potatoes in the micro-wave, as a stand by, if the boiler is fixed we have last nights flattened Chicken Breasts ready! Be prepared is our ‘Motto’ for the day!

We are having an at home day so Brenda is catching up with her ironing and I’m up in the office/studio catching up on the WWW.

                                                                                                                            !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going over some details of the new bank documents, later Mano is calling in to make a phone call to our phone/ internet provider ‘Jazztel’ to change our bank details with them and at the same time we are going to go up to the Town Hall at the top of our street to check all our Spanish documents and update them were necessary! Next on the agenda is to log onto our new bank online so as we can transfer our two main accounts from our old bank at the right moment ie.- when our new Debit cards arrive!

Last night we channel hopped after we came back from Bar Castillo and this evening we are going to watch on ‘ITV 1’ the re-arranged England v France ‘friendly’ football at Wembley, it will be very moving and a special occasion as the French National Anthem, the ‘La Marsellaise’ which is very moving anyway, is sung, sadly the Belgium v Spain friendly has been cancelled.

PS, 'Barny' is back with us tomorrow afternoon for a two day sleep over.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
