A CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 16th/ NOVEMBER 2015.

This morning we overslept for the first time in many years, the village and the workmen were quiet, so we are two hours behind where we meant to be! After breakfast we had our weekly planning meeting; this week in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ little princess ‘Reina’ is with us as usual on Tuesday & Thursday for the day, I’m taking the car across to Estepona on Wednesday morning for its ‘ITV – MOT’  and on Wednesday evening we are at the surgery to see the local chiropodist, then on Friday morning we are down in Sabinillas for our weekly shopping.

The menu’s for the week have been provisionally agreed; this evening we are having flattened Chicken Breast, that I picked up from the butchers this morning, tomorrow its going to be Meatballs in my  famous Tomato Salsa and on Wednesday Pie & Chips, Thursday is either Omelet or Frittata and on Friday Fish.

This morning the sun is out but its a little cloudy, its crisp out of the sun but still very pleasant for the time of the year, the rest of week is looking fine but by the weekend some of the wet stuff is threatening to come back?!

After breakfast we then sat down and started the process of changing our bank account, we have checked all the documents and got together all the standing order details as we need in some cases to make phone calls to England ( Pensions!) We have to re-register for the online banking and cross check all the new account numbers and passwords, we can’t make the final transfers of our accounts until we receive in the post the new Debit Cards, hopefully sometime this week! I’ve also got to call into our new bank with some documents for the Manager when I’m next out & about!

Now for a plea to the “ Queen of Skelton “ up ‘north’ with her ‘Consort’ – there have not been many sightings of them out & about and very few news details from the royal household on Facebook?! We hope that they are both in good health along with all their family, has the new kitchen been installed ( most important!) etc. Love from sunny Manilva from us and all your very loyal subjects xxxx

We are starting to think about Xmas and so next week we are going across to Estepona for a new tree & decorations, we are buying all the Xmas cards this year from the English Bookshop in Sabinillas. We will pop into the English Butchers and order the Turkey when we are next out and I will ask our local butcher for our Boxing Day joint of Sirloin of Beef on the bone! This year its just the two of us ‘Derby & Joan’ with of course the 3/4 dogs – ‘Charlie, Barny, Reina & Chispa’!!

After supper we will channel hop and fine something to watch on either Spanish TV or over in England.

PS; I'm starting work on getting my next Radio show ready on 'Castle Radio FM 89.2' just in case I'm asked back?! The response to my Facebook page has been very good with lots of 'likes' from friends,both Spanish & English ( some new!) and the family over in England were listening in also!!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
