CRISP DRY AND WARM IN SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 5th/ JANUARY 2014.

This morning we are back to our normal sunny Manilva, the sun is out, the sky is blue and it’s warm; the forecast is for more of the same through to Wednesday at the moment. I took Charlie for his early walk down through the park and picked up our ‘Roscon De Reyes’ as you can see in the pictures below on the way back; it’s Charlie’s last day tomorrow on his holidays as Brian & Jan are due back from Tenerife, we are really going to miss him, he’s a real character, lots of fun, good company, very obedient and well behaved and we have fallen in love with him! We are going to miss him terribly!!

We had a nice leisurely shower and freshen up, Brenda washed her hair, after breakfast – then went for a long walk with both the dogs around the village as you can see in the picture above taken with the new camera; the new small ‘Plaza’ in Calle Mar is coming along, the ‘Plaza Pozo Del Rey’ is now full of the sounds of the children playing, the new passage way is also taking shape but they have cut the tree down?! The ‘Plaza de la Vendimia’ is always busy during the day as you look across to the mountains.

We are staying in this lunchtime as we will be out tonight to watch the ‘Three Kings’ parade as it comes along Calle Mar – this is the one when they throw lots of ‘Caramelos – Fruit Sweet’s’ out into the crowds. We are having Minestrone soup for our lunch, its from the deep freeze and I’ve added some of my Tomato Salsa, more Pasta and some diced cooked assorted Peppers; Tonight we are having English-cut ‘Baked Pork Chops’ with glazed Apple slices, Cabbage with Acelgas,Carrot batons in Ginger and ‘Breton’ style Potatoes.

This afternoon later I will watch the ‘FA Cup’ third round ties match between Liverpool and Oldham and follow the Barcelona v Elche game in the high lights later on the TV; we will then after a late supper watch the news, sport and weather updates before finding something to watch.

Liverpool 2 - Oldham 0     Barcelona 4 - Elche 0

Thought for the Day; See above.
