CRISP AND CLEAR IN SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 15th/ JANUARY 2014.

After our tea and toast I made the Chicken Curry for tonight’s supper; I use Chicken Leg, Thigh and Breast –all diced and then tossed in seasoned curry flavored flower and then browned off in butter, the chopped Onions are sweated off with some Garlic before adding four different curry powders, the secret ingreadinents,sweet Pimento powder, Tomato Frito and Lime Juice and five different curry pastes I then add the diced Pineapple, Mushrooms and ‘Fuji’ Apples to cook off before finally dropping the Chicken pieces in, a good strong Vegetable and Chicken stock is then added before tasting and seasoning – I finally add some Desiccated Coconut ! You can smell it as you come down our street!!

We then went for a bracing walk around the village with the dog after our showers and freshen up; the weather today is bright and sunny with clear Blue skies but there is a stiff breeze blowing in from `Canada! – This is going to cause the temperatures to drop next week to the 14/15degs mark! Tomorrow the rain hits us and then over the weekend it’s dry but cooler before the cold spell next week! See the pictures above, the foreman confirmed that they are putting a clock up above the new ‘Plaza’ – the work on the new passage way is taking shape quickly with both the arches showing and Brenda is sat with Chispa in the bracing ‘Polar Wind’!

Just before supper we had a call from France,it was our old customer and friend Terry who now lives outside San Malo with his wife Alma ( Get well soon!) - they have been over to North Wales over Xmas to be with all their family and she has picked up a nasty cough! We had a good long catch up with all his news and also some great memories from the good times at the Hotel 70* They still have all the Xmas Pottery that we used to have made each year for our good customers,family and friends( 100 limited edition) All the very best for 2014 to you both " Health and Wealth and Happiness" !!

This evening with our curry supper we have Basmati rice and Garden Peas with sliced Banana; we will then watch the news,sport and weather reports on the very comprehensive TVE1 main news which is on for 90mins!
Its then time for all the films to start so we will find something to watch.

Thought for the Day; See above.
