WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY

SATURDAY 7^th/ DECEMBER 2013.

After our tea and toast I went upstairs to the office and watched on the small PC ‘Saturday Morning Kitchen’ live before we went for a walk with the dogs around the village in the warm sunshine, I came back with our second ‘Poinsettia’!

I then got tonight’s supper set up; ‘Steak a la Plancha’- I trim the steaks and season with salt & ground Black Peppercorns, the White Baby Mushrooms are scored across the tops, the twice-cooked chips are blanched and Brenda has sliced the green Beans and cooked them ‘Aldente’ At the same time I pan-fried off the Chicken Wings to use as a Tapas as required.

This afternoon I will watch the football over in England in the Premier League in the office on the large PC – live; Liverpool v West Ham and Southampton v Man. City – Everton are at Arsenal on Sunday. Over here there is no ‘La Liga’ football this weekend as it’s the ‘ Copa del Rey – like the F.A. Cup’ – last night Barcelona went to lowly Cartagena and won 1-4, tonight Real Madrid are at another lower league team Olimpic!? Olympic Xativao from the third division 0 - Real Madrid 0 !!

Liverpool 4 - West Ham 1 and 1 -1 at Southampton !

Last nights film was “ Covert One – The Hades Factor ” from 2006 – based on the Robert Ludlum book of the same name; you need to concentrate as it’s a spy thriller with lots of twists and double dealing right up to the end! Stephen Dorff,Mira Sorvino are the agents for the mysterious ‘Covert One’ Blair Underwood is their boss,Anjelica Huston is the President of the USA and Colm Meany appears with a terrible English accent!

Tonight after our steak supper we will find a film to watch, no problems as there lots on over the bank holiday weekend!
