OVERCAST AND DAMP IN SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY

TUESDAY 17th/ DECEMBER 2013.

Overnight we had a very heavy rain storm hit us that was not forecast until tomorrow! When it rains in Spain it really rains – we have had no rain for over six months so it can only be expected!! This morning the showers carried on till lunchtime, Brenda shot around to the post office in between one and then took the dog for a short walk before it came back; Chispa has escaped early also when it was not raining, she’s not daft!

We then got things on the go for tonight’s pre-Xmas dinner with Andy and Maria; we are having a selection of small Tapas to start with a nice chilled bottle of Cava – ‘Royale style’ For the main course its ‘ Roast Lemon Herb Chicken’ with a Chestnut and Herb stuffing and my famous finger licking Lemon flavored Gravy! Brenda has prepared Broccoli & Cauliflower florets in a three-Cheese sauce, Carrot & Turnip batons with Ginger, Baby Brussels Sprouts with Smoked Bacon sippets, local new Parsley Potatoes and I’ve got the Goose Fat Roast Potatoes to see too; a fine Rioja will help things along!

To follow I’ am making my now famous ‘Crepes’ made with fresh Campo Eggs so the batter is very yellow! No doubt we will have a ‘ Caipirinha’ to finish off the night !! Oh and yes ‘Crackers’ !

We then freshened our self’s up with a cold shower’s – not by choice – the water pressure had dropped ! Last night’s film was a car chase & crashing, all action fighting & shooting, helicopter, fast train, story called “ State of the Union ” from 2005 with ‘Ice Cube?!’ as the “ XXX” agent with William Defoe, Samuel L.Jackson, Peter Strauss, Scott Speedman and the alluring Nona Gaye as the tart with an heart!

Thought for the Day; See above.
