CLEAR AND WARM IN SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 21^st/ DECEMBER 2013.

Just a little lie in this morning and then after our tea and toast we watched the start of the ‘Loteria Nacional’ – “ EL GORDO  - THE BIG ONE ” from Madrid, if 32797 comes up you will all here about it !! This time, this year we could be millionaires!! No luck this year so lets hope for 2014.

Nothing to get ready today as we are not roasting so we are having a nice long shower and threshen up; the weather is ok and will brighten up later as we have  a nice quiet day at home in sunny Manilva.By lunchtime it was warm and very sunny - We will go for a walk with the dog later around the village when she comes calling at our front door!As I was in the shower the " Xmas Bomba Band " came along Calle Mar past Bar Rojas so Brenda shot up our street and took the pictures above!

Six hours later they came along our street and stopped for a drink of the local 'Ainseed baseded firewater! They have had 'Comfort'stops all over the village ! See the pictures above.

At lunchtime we first went down to 'Bodega Augustin' and bumped into the 'Guerrero Clan' -Dave and Debbie,Tom's parents came over last night with two friends are are here until Xmas Eve on their annual visit at this time of the year,we then walked back up to Bar Rojas and met our friend Antonio for our Paella lunch which Mano joined us for while he was out walking his dog Feria..

This afternoon I will watch the Swansea v Everton game and later catch the results over here in ‘La Liga’ as Barcelona and Real Madrid play. Result - Swansea 1 - EVERTON 2 - Big Bri will be very happy over in Liverpool ! Real won 2-3 and Barcelona won 2 -5 at Getafe with Pedro scoring a hat-trick in 9 mins!

This evening for supper we are having my special ‘Smoked Chicken and Broad Bean Risotto’ for a change which of course I will cook when we are ready.

We have just come off the Skype video after talking to Jack and Lyn over in Melbourne as they are away over Xmas at Jack’s family this year; they are both fine and looking forward to their trip away in their Caravan, they are driving through the mountains past the famous ‘Brown Bros’ wine estate who are famous for the dessert wine ‘Orange Flora Muscat’! All the best whishes for Xmas and the New Year to all the family over in Australia xx

The film last night was “ Tower Heist ” from 2011 with Ben Stiller, Eddy Murphy, Alan Alda,Casey Affleck, Mathew Broderick and Tea Leoni – the title tells you what it was all about!
