OVERCAST BUT DRY IN SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY

WEDNESDAY 18th/ DECEMBER 2013.

We had a little lie in this morning after our Xmas supper with Andy & Maria last night! After sorting ourselves out we went for a long walk with dog, I called into the surgery and cancelled my blood test appointment for tomorrow until the New Year as my appointments at the hospital over in Marbella are not till early February; the crane has gone from the church and they are now working on the final roofing and the inside, the new passage way was just having the concrete layed and a bit of Blue sky appeared as we were crossing the park as you can see in the pictures above! The weather forecast for tomorrow is a little rain and overcast as an Atlantic front hits us on its way to England! It’s then looking like we are in for a settled patch up to Xmas with the temperatures holding at 16/17 degs!

The Xmas cards are arriving slowly this year, every year they get fewer and fewer for all sorts of reasons as life moves on. We still like sending cards for all occasions in the modern age of technology, we are old fashioned but please keep them coming – it makes our day!

The menu for the rest of the week is now sorted, tonight we are having cold Chicken with a fry-up of the vegetables and potatoes from last night, on Thursday after we come back from the Xmas Carol Concert we are having a Baled Potato with the rest of the Casserole of Liver from the other evening, Friday is ‘Fish Night’ – Saturday is ‘Steak Night’ and on Sunday something simple as its lots of roasting during the Xmas week!

Mano has finally just called but still no sign of Anna, he’s had all sorts of problems with work and other stuff so does not know if he’s coming or going!

Thought for the Day; See above.
