CLEAR AND WARM IN SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND;

FRIDAY 20th/ DECEMBER 2013.

We were up again with larks for our last shop down in Sabinillas until the New Year! We called first into the local market down by the Congress Center for some fresh flowers and our final two ‘Poinsettias’!! Promise!
Our next port of call was the fruit & vegetable market to stock up with fresh goods; it was then a large shop at ‘Mercadona’ before we picked up the papers and a new dog food bowl for Charlie when he arrives next week.

I have left the car in the underground car park as usual and we are not using it again until it goes in for a service and check up in the New Year, hopefully the miss-firing engine on only three cylinders is not too bad – fingers crossed!

After un-packing I shot around to our butchers for our ‘Steak a la Plancha’ for tomorrow night and checked on our ‘Entrecote on the Bone’ for Boxing Day; tonight we have treated ourselves to a whole ‘Rodaballo – Turbot’ which in fact was not expensive, I’am going to bake it on the bone- ‘Meuniere style’ and then fillet it, garnished with fresh Gambas, Baby New Potatoes and diamond cut Green Beans from the vegetable department!

The weather forecast for the next week is fine with blue skies and sun – no rain and the temperatures going up a little to 19/20 degs! Today its crisp with a stiff breeze but very pleasant, Brenda has just come back from a short walk with dog and says that it is now warm; Tomorrow Jan is dropping Charlie off at lunchtime and we are going to take him for a long walk to let him get used to us and then the house ready for his holiday’s next week!

Tonight after supper we will find a film to watch as Friday is the best film night on all the channels.Last night after coming back from the concert we watched “ Internal Affairs” from 1990 with Richard Gere and Andy Garcia playing cops,one bad and one good- watch it to find out!

PS; Brian and Lilli have just arrived at Gatwick on their way to spend Xmas with his family in Liverpool - watch out the 'Marsall's' are in town !! It's going to be one 'Helluva' Christmas over there!!

Thought for the Day; See above.
