MONDAY 9th/
DECEMBER 2013.
We
overslept this morning as the village is so quiet as it’s been treated as a
Bank Holiday, the council office’s are closed, no buses’s, some shops closed
and some open – down in Sabinillas it’s the same! It’s not an official holiday
but its being treated like one!
Today its a
little overcast at the moment but it will brighten up later as the sun breaks
through – 16 degs! Over in Pori in Finland Big Bri will be celebrating his
birthday, no doubt, in his usual fashion – “ Happy Birthday ” Brian after a
fair result yesterday when the ‘Toffees’ drew with the ‘Arsenal’ 1-1!!
Mano is
calling in shortly to collect Derick, Anna is home but no sign of her. We are
thinking about having ‘Charlie’ the lovely ‘Waterdog’ over Xmas and will make
our minds up on Tuesday; it’s a bit of a responsibility and is for two weeks.
Brenda has
decided to have an at home day so she is catching up with her mopping, cleaning
etc,meanwhile I’ am up in the office on the WWW catching up with the e-mails
and blogging! No appointments or plans for this week so far so we are just
planning to have a nice quiet time at home.Andy is coming around in the morning
to check both PC’s and have good catch up with all his news.
Tonight for
supper we are having Cold York Ham with fried Campo Eggs( dropped in by our
neighbour last night!) and crisp twice-cooked Chips, on Tuesday its going to be
Baked Pork Chops and I’ am making an Chicken Curry on Wednesday;
The film
last night was “ Mission; Impossible 2 ”from 2000 with Tom Cruise,Dougray Scott
and Thandie Newton – all the action takes place in Sydney which reminded us
that in February Tim & Thea with their two friends from Old Colwyn Wes
& Judith have a’Helluva’ three week trip planned to Australia and are visiting
Alice Springs,Cairns,Melbourne and Sydney where they have already booked to
climb the harbor bridge and go to the opera house!
This
evening after supper we will catch up with news and weather for the week before
finding a film to watch;on Tuesday and Wednesday this week on the TV its time
for ‘UEFA Champions League’ football with Real Madrid in Copenhagen and
Manchester City are at Bayern Munich who won on Saturday 0-7 in the
‘Bundesliga’ !!
