THURSDAY 25th
/ DECEMBER 2014 “CHRISTMAS DAY”
Another
nice lie in this morning after a good night sleep for us all ‘Scruffy’ woke us
when he jumped on the foot of the bed to let is know it was time for his first
walk of the day; the village this morning is very quiet after last night when
the local go slightly mad in the evening including letting off lots of
‘Bangers’ which was not good for ‘Scruffy’- we had to give him lots of love and
extra hugs – which is not difficult!
We had a
nice surprise phone call from our dear fiend Joyce over in Alhaurin el Grande
above Malaga to wish us a ‘Happy Xmas’
and peaceful and healthy New Year, then Brenda rang her two sisters over in
Runcorn to give them our very best wishes and love.
We would
like to wish all our family and friends, old and new, all over the world a very
‘Happy Christmas’ and a ‘Healthy, Wealthy and Peaceful New Year’
So we then
got the roast on the go “Roast Crown of Turkey” with a ‘Cranberry &
Chestnut Stuffing’ and of course ‘Pigs in Blanket’ (large ones!) which you can
see in the pictures below; we are keeping the vegetables simple today so its
Glazed Carrot & Parsnip Batons, Baby Brussels Sprout with Smoked Bacon
bits, Garden Peas, Baby New Potatoes and not forgetting the Goose Fat Roast Potatoes!
Oh and yes of course my famous finer licking pans gravy!!

We then
went for a nice walk in the lunchtime sunshine with the three dogs again, this
morning ‘Reina’ was dropped off for the day and ‘Chispa ‘ came calling later in
the morning; as you can see in the picture below ‘Scruffy’ has his ‘Xmas Scarf
with Baubles’ on!! The weather today is glorious with once again a clear blue
sky and warm sunshine – 21degs!
When we got
back to the house we then had our light ‘Xmas Brunch’ of freshly squeezed local
Orange juice, Scrambled Campo Eggs on
Toast including a ‘Double Yoker’! – with a rather nice glass or two of chilled
Brut Cava served in frosted glasses with a fresh strawberry!!
‘Reina’ is
back with us next Tuesday for the day, then on New Years Eve for a sleep over before
coming back later on New Years day! By then we should have ‘Charlie’ the parrot
here as well!
This
evening we will have our Xmas Dinner in the early evening and then settle down
to watch the TV.
