A CLEAR AND CRISP SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 7th/ DECEMBER 2014.

We had a little lie in this morning as it was quiet here in sunny Manilva, the weather looks to be set for the next few days as the front has no rain or wind over Spain.

Brenda made some nice toasted Smoked Bacon 'Butties' for breakfast and I then went and checked out what is happening in Calle Mar today, there is a little 'Sunday Market/Children's games with some singing and dancing'

I bought Brenda a new wallet for Xmas from the handmade leather good shop that sets up at this time of the year and in the old cellar of the Town Hall they are making two huge 'Paella's' - in the old days it used to be the Post Office and the entrance is at the top of our street! It looks like there is going to be something happening for the next four Sunday's into the New Year before the main " Three Kings" celebrations in the first week in January.

See below the start of one of the 'Paella's' -you buy a drink in one of the bars and they give you a ticket for your Paella! It's nothing like Lumy's !!

And ready!

So when I got back to the house I prepared tonight's supper " Baked Pork Chops with Charcutiere Sauce " Its the classic Piquant sauce made with Wine Vinegar,Mustard,sliced Onions & Gherkins; Brenda is getting ready the Cabbage with Alselgas and crushed Baby Carrots & Turnips - I making this evening my famous 'Breton Style' Potatoes' with diced Red & Green Peppers added to the diced Potatoes and then sauteed! See below;

At lunchtime we went for a walk with 'Chispa' and bumped into Mano & Anna outside Bar Plaza'- we then had a nice drink at Bar Rojas and our 'Free Paella'! The picture above show Diego,our new Mayor with Valentina and helpers and then Manuel,the new Councillor with Marcus. We then called into our local bar two doors down from our house " Bodegon Andaluz" and had a couple of more drinks to finish off a nice lunchtime here in sunny Manilva!

All the sports results to follow later; Liverpool could only draw at home to Sunderland 0-0 - Manchester City beat Everton 1-0 with a 'dodgy penalty and Real Madrid won 3-0 with Ronaldo's 23rd record breaking hat-trick and at the same time they broke another record with their 18th straight win in 'La Liga' !! And this evening Barcelona beat Espanyol 5-1 with a hat trick from Messi!!!

I will post some pictures of the market and the 'Paella's later also! See above.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
