A OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 21^st/ DECEMBER 2014.

We had a nice long lie in this morning as it was our last chance for the next week or so; this evening ‘Scruffy’ is arriving for his Xmas Holiday/Break in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ for the Xmas week which means early morning walks, hopefully in nice dry weather as last year on Xmas Day morning when ‘Charlie’ was our guest I had to go out in the most severe rain/thunder storm in the last couple of years! The forecast for the Christmas week is at the moment looking good with clear blue skies and the sun out, hovering on the 18/19degs mark! 'Scruffy' has arrived and ate all his supper.

For our breakfast this morning to get us in the Xmas frame of mind we had ‘Campo Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon’ as you can see in the picture below, the eggs are very yellow with a strong taste, I scramble the beaten seasoned eggs at the very last moment in a very hot pan with a knob of un-salted Butter and take the pan off the heat to stir!

We are having an at home day today taking things easy as we are not roasting, we are having the ‘Roast Chicken’ tomorrow evening with all the trimmings to start the Xmas week in the way we aim to go on! So tonight I will bake the whole ‘Rodaballo – Turbot’ in the oven with lots of herbs, lemon juice and butter then fillet it to serve with the Asparagus spears and Baby Minted New Potatoes; the ‘Queen’ of fish is always very tasty and the fillets stay firm so are easy to take off the bone – well that’s the plan! Back to the sports news update from yesterday; over in the ‘Premiere League’ City won 3-0 but sadly Everton lost 3-0 (sorry Big Bri!) and Barcelona won 5-0 – it’s the last game in ‘La Liga’this year as it close’s down until the first week in January not like in England where they play 3/4 games over the holiday period! Meanwhile over in Morocco in Marrakech Real Madrid won 2-0, their 22^nd straight win to become World Club Champions! Liverpool v Arsenal today.- 2-2!!

After lunch today we might walk down to the ‘Pabellon – Congress Centre’ as there is an Xmas music and singing show on with all the local choirs and bands, weather permitting, as at the moment its rather overcast as the sun has not broken through yet.The Xmas Bands from local villages came along Calle Mar at lunchtime on their way down to the Pabellon including the Manilva village band past out house,see the pictures above.

Mano and Anna called in at lunchtime for a chat and gossip and Anna took the picture of me with my 'Heroes Hat' on !! Don't worry we have another box in stock!!

Last nights film was a rather gory police drama based in Los Angeles about an elite police squad which is corrupt “ Street Kings” from 2008 stars Keanu Reeves,Forest Whitaker Chris Evans and Hugh Laurie – lots of shooting and killing and over acting from Forest Whitaker & especially Hugh Laurie!
