A OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 14th/ DECEMBER 2014.

Overnight the rain has stopped, for the moment, its overcast and grey but dry this morning so we shot out early with both the dogs for their first walk of the day; just before we went to bed last evening the dogs went into a playful/happy frame of mind, ‘Reina’ moved into ‘Scruff’s’ house and re-arranged it inside and started playing with his toy, at the same time he would not let go of her toy and went on her duvet!

They ended up as they should be as we went to bed and both of then have slept all night, ‘Reina’ is being picked up at lunchtime and ‘Scruffy’ is going home on Monday morning; last night I had to take them out in the middle of the rain storm, we all came back like drowned rats, earlier we were both out with them in the rain, when we get back to the house we have a large beach towel ready on the floor, they both stay on it while they are dried, in fact ‘Reina’ rolls on it and dries herself!

So tomorrow morning after ‘Scruffy’ is picked up we are going across to Estepona as I’m going to the barbers shop and Brenda needs some essential makeup/cosmetics, we will then do a little ‘Window’ shopping!

Today we are having a nice relaxing day at home catching up with the chores and then washing our hair, shaving (me only!) and showering; for breakfast I treated us to Crispy Smoked Bacon & Campo Fried Eggs with tea and toast; for supper this evening we are having for a change some small “Lamb Shanks in Minted Gravy” with Crushed baby Carrots & Turnips,batons of Parsnips and Brussels Sprouts along with ‘Rissole Potatoes’ made with baby New Potatoes cooked in their skins and then sautéed in vegetable oil and butter with lots of finely chopper Parsley( Brenda!)  See the picture below;

In the football yesterday Manchester City beat Leicester 0-1but Barcelona could only draw 0-0 at Getafe.so today it’s the ‘Match of the Day’ when Liverpool travel up the ‘East Lancashire Road’ to Manchester Utd. They lost 3-0 ( Liverpool !)

Overnight in Las Vegas at the ‘MGM Grand’ Amir Khan defended his title and won a unanimous points victory against the USA boxer Devon Alexander – he was wearing the most expensive boxer shorts in history made with white nappa leather, silk and featuring a waistband made with 24-carat gold thread and worth at least £ 20,000!

Last night after supper we found a film to watch that we has not seen before “Amelia” from 2009 starring in the title role Hilary Swank as the female aviator Amelia Earhart with a miss-cast Richard Gere as her husband and Ewan McGregor & Christopher Eccleston as the other men in her life – I never realized that when she went missing and was never found over the Pacific she was not alone but had a flight engineer/navigator with her!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
