A LITTLE OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE 'XMAS WEEK'

MONDAY 22nd/ DECEMBER 2014.

We all had a good nights sleep and ‘Scruffy’ has settled in, he slept in his house over night and his day-bed ‘Scruffs’ is in the lounge, this morning ‘Chispa’ came calling and then demolished the ‘T-Bone’ from the other night , she eats all the bones but we don’t give them to ‘Scruffy’ I took him out for his early morning walk along Calle Mar, its very mild but a little overcast, no doubt the sun will brake through by the afternoon; the forecast for the week is now looking OK and there is no sign of any of the wet stuff – fingers crossed!

We had our usual breakfast and then got tonight’s ‘Roast’ on the go “ Roast Lemon Chicken ” with a Mixed Herb & Onion Stuffing, from the vegetable chef ( Brenda!) we are having Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a three- Cheese sauce, crushed Baby Carrots & Turnips, Cabbage with Alselgas and Garden Peas; of course it’s Goose Fat Roast Potatoes and my famous finger licking Gravy that I’ve just made. See the picture below of the Chicken as it came out of the oven.

And the finished meal !

While we getting things ready Mario our local councilor who lives around the corner from us called in with a bottle of ‘Dulce Manilva Wine’ from his Campo, the ‘Roast Lemon Chicken’ also used our neighbors Lemons from her Campo next to Mario’s and her Alselgas!

The rest of the day we are taking things easy and relaxing, at lunchtime we will take ‘Scruffy’ out for his walk and then this afternoon Brenda will read a little and I will channel-hop; this evening after our supper we will settle down and find something to watch, this week there are a lot of “Xmas Entertainment” programmes’ on along with Xmas films so it’s a little difficult to find a good film to watch!

PS; This morning it was the draw of the National Xmas Lottery " El Gordo - The Big One " Its live on TVE 1 - just lets say, this time next year we could all be 'Millionaire's' - no luck this year but some of our neighbors in the street at the bottom of ours who club together every year have won something!!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
