A WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 17th/ NOVEMBER 2014.

Just a little turn-over lie in this morning as its such a beautiful day here in sunny Manilva, the forecast is also looking good for the rest of the week with more warm sunshine and getting hotter,20degs today, in fact in Malaga its 25degs!

So after our usual breakfast we went for a walk with ‘Chispa’ and called into the local bank for some cash, picked up some postcards to send back to the family and friends that have set ones to us, please keep them coming, at this rate I will have to start a new peg-board!

We then went down to our butchers and I ordered our ‘Rib of Beef’ for Boxing Day and also picked up some ‘English’ double-cut ‘Pork Chops’ for supper tonight and a ‘Breast of Local Chicken’ sliced into ‘Escalope’s’ for tomorrow night. This evening I’m baking the Pork Chops and we are having Cabbage with Alselgas & Crushed Baby Carrots with Baby Turnips, Baked Potato and my Tomato Salsa on the side

This Christmas we are at home,just the two of us with 'Scruffy' who is joining us for a week for his 'Xmas Break'! We will have plenty of food of course for any surprise guests, so come and join us!!

Its very quiet in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ today but its back to normal tomorrow as ‘Reina’ is here and on Thursday and ‘Scruffy’ is arriving on Wednesday for a two day sleep-over! This means that I will be left in charge on Thursday with the two of them as Brenda is going down on the bus to Sabinillas for her hairdressing appointment in the morning!

I’ve just come off the phone after talking to Tim over in Old Colwyn, we have had a good catch up with all his news, Jo has graduated with another degree, and the card is in the post! The big news is that Tim &Thea are checking out ‘Camper Vans’!! Watch this space.

Nothing to report on the film front over the weekend, they were all rubbish but we did catch the latest episode of the current Rick Stein series on ‘Mediterranean Cooking’ on Saturday evening on TVE 2 – including some rather special ‘Roast Lamb’ in Beer up in the hills in Majorca before he traveled across to Barcelona and went to the famous ‘La Boqueria’ market and then onto the ‘Paddy Fields’ outside Valencia!

This evening after supper we will as usual catch up with all the news, sport and weather details before finding something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
