A NOW DRY BUT COOLER SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND;

FRIDAY 14th/NOVEMBER 2014.

Overnight the rains arrived and this morning they were still heavy but it cleared up later and by the time we had finished our travels it was dry, warm and sunny! The forecast for the weekend and into the start of next week is dry but a little cooler, only 18/19degs.

So after our breakfast we first went down to the local market for the fresh flowers, it was not open and neither was the market on the front in Sabinillas; we picked up the newspapers and then did our main shop in ‘Mercadona’ – next Brenda called into the hairdressers and made an appointment for next Thursday morning, as we passed the charity shop she took the opportunity to find two new tops for 4 euros! We then called into the ‘Council Administration Office’ and up-dated our details to go on the local electoral role for next years elections.

After unloading back at the house I put the car away in the multi-story car park, with some difficulty as all three floors were full until I spotted someone leaving and grabbed a good spot right by the ground floor entrance! ‘Chispa’ as usual came crashing in as we were unpacking and later at lunchtime ‘Scruffy’ is due for a two day sleep over, he brings his posh leather personalized sleeping bed with him!

We had a nice surprise this evening when Brian( not Big Bri but Liverpool Brian!)  called with 'Charlie' our first doggy sit last Christmas,he's a real character and we love him loads, Jan is going away to England for a couple of weeks to see her family and Brian has arranged to go and see his beloved Everton play in Germany at the end of the month in the 'Europa Cup' with a gang of his mates.

So we are going to welcome 'Charlie' back to 'Doggy World Heaven' at the end of the month for a four day sleep over! It's made our day as 'Charlie' is a lovely dog and its a joy to have him with us,he is also a lot better as he is on some tablets to help him with his Epileptic attacks and is now fine and very well!  It also means that I'm going to have to get a new 'Blue' marker pen for our bookings diary!!

This evening for supper we are having plain grilled ‘Fillets of Hake’ with whole Green Beans( Brenda) Garden Peas(Me!) and Saffron New Potatoes, all with no butter, of course I made some fresh Tartar sauce to go with the meal. See below.I've also made a fresh batch of my famous Tomato Salsa using local Plum Tomatoes.

We will then channel hop and find a film to watch as it’s the best night for films on all the channels.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
