HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 26th/ APRIL 2014.

We had a nice lie in this morning and then got up to the most beautiful morning with the sun out early, its already warm with clear blue skies and no breeze; we have just finished our usual breakfast of fresh Orange juice, Weetabix, toast and tea, I’am now up in the office watching on the smaller PC the BBC TV Breakfast programme which at the moment is talking about the start of the ‘Tour De France’ in 10 weeks time in Yorkshire!

Then its time for ‘Saturday Morning Kitchen’ with this week three chefs including the Spanish lady from San Sebastian, Elena Arzak with three ‘Michelin’ stars, cooking ‘Langoustines’ in a coffee pot! James Martin is making ‘Chicken Chasseur’ – can’t wait to see his version!!

Meanwhile downstairs Brenda is preparing the ingredients for a large bowl of my now very famous ‘Ensaladilla Rusa – Russian Salad’ that I will make later; tonight’s supper bearing in mind the Monday morning ‘Weigh in’- is ‘Steak a la Plancha’ with sautéed Mushrooms, finely sliced Green Beans and Baked potato!

We went for a nice long walk with the dog at lunchtime as Brenda is feeling a bit more like her old self,it is now very hot as the breeze has gone away,down at the sports hall there is a climbing wall competition and at the same time some junior girls basketball,meanwhile the seven a side football was just finishing as you can see in the pictures above.

A busy weekend of football with over here in ‘La Liga’ its Real Madrid v Osasuna, Villareal v Barcelona and Valencia v Atletico Madrid – meanwhile over in England its Southampton v Everton today and tomorrow Crystal Place v Manchester City and the ‘Match of the Season’ as Liverpool welcome Chelsea in what could be the title decider! In Argentina it’s the next round of the ‘ Motor GP’ Watch later for all the results.

Oh dear,'Big Bri' over in Pori Finland - Everton lost 2-0 with two own goals in the first 30 minutes!! PS; Real Madrid won 4-0.

After supper we will watch the news,sport and weather round ups before settling down to find a film to watch, last night it was ‘Gladiator’ – again!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
