HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 30th/ APRIL 2014.

It’s going to be another ‘Helluva’ hot one in sunny Manilva today; we are just pottering about catching up with the chores, Brenda is washing, drying, ironing, cleaning, polishing and any other ‘ing’ that she can find to do! She is getting back to her old self but is still not right so she has an appointment with the doctor on Monday morning for a check up; meanwhile I’ am as you can see up in the office reading any E-Mails, checking out Facebook, reading the on-line newspapers and watching the news – I’ve just updated my ‘Twitter’ account with a new picture and heading, it looks rather good – ‘Tweet’ me!!

We have decided not to make a’ Dish of the Day’ as we normally do on a Wednesday so tonight’s supper is going to be pan-fried ‘Chicken Wings’ which I get from the butcher, he cuts them from all the fresh Chickens as they are used, he then trims and cuts them in two, they are very cheap and tasty – in fact they are ‘Gordon Ramsey’s favorite thing to eat – I don’t know if that’s a recommendation or not! Baked potato and a mixed salad to accompany them, we eat them warm, Brenda likes to pick then with her fingers and I prefer to take all the meat of the bones before attacking them!

Tomorrow here in Spain it’s the ‘May Day’ bank holiday so it makes it a long weekend as the ‘Workers’ tend to take off the Friday as well and make into a longer bank holiday! For supper we are having my famous ‘Sexton Stacked Burgers’ with a treat – a few fresh Frits!

This evening after supper I will shoot upstairs to the office to watch the second leg semi-final game of the ‘UEFA Champions League’ as Chelsea welcome Atletico Madrid on the large PC via my ‘First Row Live Football’ – will it be an all Spanish final in Lisbon or will ‘Mr. Mourinho’ make it back home to Portugal ?!

So 'Mr. Mourinho' won't be going home - Chelsea 1 - Atletico Madrid 3 - which means that it will be an all Madrid final in Lisbon !!

Last night after the football we watched the late film, another re-make of the classic “ The Three Musketeers’ from 2011 – this time with a fairly un-know cast except for Orlando Bloom and James Corden,both over ‘acting’ in a rather lavish and spectacular, at times new version.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
