“EASTER
MONDAY” 21st/ APRIL 2014.
Well today
its still a little damp but its then going back to normal on Tuesday and for
the rest of the week; its not an Bank Holiday over here so everybody is back to
work and all the shops and bars are open; ‘Scruffy’ has been picked up after
his Easter holiday with us, his Mum & Dad called in this morning, he’s no
problem and he has been a very good boy, we are missing him already, his
girlfriend ‘Chispa’ has just come crashing in and is running around the house
looking for him! He is coming back for the day on Sunday as Adrian
We are
having a nice easy day today and trying to get ourselves sorted out, health
wise as especially Brenda as she can’t seem to shake off her cough and acres
and pains – she has just come back from the chemists with some more cough
mixture that will hopefully sort her out! The menus for the week have been
planned, later this morning it’s the official first week’s ‘Weigh In’! Watch
this space!!
So tonight
we are having English style ‘Baked Pork Chops’ which I picked up from the
butchers earlier with Cabbage & Alcelgas,Carrots and a Baked potato, I’ve
just made one of our favorite sauces to go with them “ Charcutiere” made with
sliced Shallots & Gherkins,Vineagar,assorted Mustard pastes, Red wine, a
good rich Beef stock and the secret seasonings!
Tomorrow we
are out for lunch with Claus & Doreen over in Estapona fish market then on
Wednesday I’ am going to make another classic from the past –“Chicken Chasseur”
after we come back from taking
Lillemor’s friend Linda over to the bus station in Marbella to catch her flight
back to Sweden - Thursday evening we are going to have English Pork Sausages,
Smoked Bacon and anything else I can find to cook on the griddle plate! Friday
it will be fish and then our Saturday night Steak la la Plancha’ – we haven’t
thought about Sunday yet.
This
evening Manchester City are playing West Brom in another must win game so I
will watch it later after supper upstairs in the office on the large PC with my
‘First Row Sports’ live football connection.Manchester city City won 3-1.
