SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF " SEMANA SANTA " WEEK;

MONDAY 14th/ APRIL 2014.

Just a little overcast as we got up this morning but no doubt it will pick up later as forecast as we are going around to Josie & Dens apartment for lunch out on their large balcony; so this morning we are having a lazy start to the ‘Semana Santa’ week here in sunny Manilva. After our showers and freshen up we will go for a little walk with the dog to stretch our legs.

We had a fabulous lunch,as per the menu,with Josie and Den sat outside on their balcony overlooking the views towards Africa;thank you Josie for your lovely food from the smallest one-women kitchen - the food is passed out through the kitchen window! We really enjoyed talking to you both - thanks! See the picture's above later taken by Den with his 'Nikon Coolpix' - including a 'Selfi!'- and also one that we did not know about of the two old-age pensioner's arriving with some extra 'Goodies!'

Yesterday evening I had an E-Mail from Bedwyr about his’ Art’ project on the ‘Hotel Seventy Degrees’ – he is not able to make it over to interview us so this evening we are having a Skype video call to answer some questions, it looks like the animators work is nearly finished and his brochure on the project is coming together as well as the art gallery to show it initially; all very exciting and we are looking forward to seeing the finished product!

A couple of updates on the sports front; over in Austin, Texas Marc Marquez eased to another win in the Motor GP, Atletico Madrid won 2-0 and are now 3 points clear at the top of ‘La Liga’ – ‘Bubba Watson?! Won his second ‘Masters’ title as Augusta and ‘Manny Pacquiao’ won the ‘WBO’ welterweight title in Las Vegas!

This week we are having a slight change to our menu planning as we are both going on a new regime to try and lose some weight, not a ‘Diet’ as Brenda points out but more of a cut-back and re-adjustment in the amounts as well as the times – eating a little earlier ! So it’s going to mean a fewer potatoes, more simple plain dishes, salads, fresh fruit and all the things that are good for us – I CAN’T WAIT!! Watch out for the details as I re-plan the menus for the week!

Thought for the Day; See above.
