OVERCAST AND DAMP IN SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 12th/ FEBRUARY 2014.

Overnight yet another storm crossed over us on its way to the UK –sorry! Today its overcast but the weather is then picking up for the weekend. I was up before dawn as I had a appointment in the small hospital in Estepona for a chest X-Ray; it’s a very efficient department run by one man, my appointment was at 8-26 and I came out at 8-30 with the X-Rays!

I then went and found where the buses arrive from the airport in Malaga, they have closed the bus station and made it into a Plaza, it turn’s out that for the moment they are using a large bus stop in the main avenue until the new bus station is ready, but the new one is on the far side of Estepona by the Congress centre?! The reason I needed to know is that we are picking our friend Josie up this evening!

On the way back I topped up the car with petrol and called into the bank and then paid the electricity bill; so we are having an at home day for a change after all the running around over the last two weeks. We are just going to snack at lunchtime and this evening.

Last night we caught a good film “ Perfect Stranger ” from 2007 – a Neo-Noir psychological thriller starring Halle Berry,Bruce Willis and Givanni Ribisi – you need to watch right up to the end!

This evening the second-leg of the semi-final of the ‘Copa de Rey’ is on TVE1 between Real Sociedad and Barcelona ( 3-0 to Barca after the first-leg) Last night Real Madrid won 2-0 with both penalty’s scored by Ronaldo ( 5-0 on aggregate) against their local rivals Atl. Madrid! Barcelona's game was a 1-1 draw but they go into the final v Real on a 4-1 aggregate!

Meanwhile over in England,weather permitting, the mid-week games in the 'Premiere League' are - Everton v Crystal Palace,Man City v Sunderland and Fulham v Liverpool. All the scores later;The Everton and City games are postponed due to the storms! A good win for Liverpool2-3 with a late Gerrard penalty!

Thought for the Day’ See above.
