SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 28th/ OCTOBER 2013.

The weather forecast for this week is OK, its sunny with no sign of any of the wet stuff although we have a lost a couple of degrees in temperature due to the tail end of the hurricane going across on its way to England! The northern part of Spain along the Atlantic coast has been hit badly with heavy rains and storms but down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ we are ‘suffering’ as its only 22/23 degs all week!

This week we have nothing planned so far, on Thursday morning I have tests at the surgery before making an appointment in the middle of November to see my Prostrate consultant for a six month review; Brenda is having a washing day at the moment and later we are going for a long walk to stretch our legs with the dog, we will call into the Cultural office to check out the arrangements for the trip to Malaga on Saturday which we are looking forward to.All sorted,Lumy is coming with us as well! See the picture above as we made our way around the village,the last one was taken by Tom from the ManilvGreen Hotel!

On Friday it’s a Bank Holiday here in Spain “ Fiesta De Todos Los Santos” – ‘All Saints Day’ so we will be going for the shopping on Thursday morning after I’ve been to the surgery.

Last night as we talked to Tom we found out more about his golfing plans; he is being sponsored by a English nursing home company and is looking for more sponsors down here, he is playing on the ‘Gecko Pro-Tour’ which takes place over the next few months and into next year on the most outstanding golf courses situated in Southern Spain; Marbella Golf & Country,Torrequebrada, The San Roque Club, Atalaya Park, Le Canada,Aloa, Guadalhorcsa – to name but a few! Each tournament has a winning prize of 10,000 euros – come on Tom we know that you can do it ! Watch this space.

This evening for supper we are having the rest of the Braised steak with some Lamb cutlets added together with the Mash and left-over vegetables, Tom does not like his vegetables so his new ‘Aunty’ Brenda is on a mission to get him to eat more, it will be good for his golf swing!

Last night we caught the late film “ The International” from 2009 with once again Clive Owen as an Interpol agent trying to expose a high profile bank’s role in international arms dealing, with the help of Naomi Watts ! Lots of action with a lot of shooting!

Thought for the Day; See above.
