OVERCAST BUT NO RAIN AT THE MOMENT IN SUNNY MANLVA;

SATURDAY 26th/ OCTOBER.2013.

A little rain overnight but at the moment its dry but overcast; for breakfast I had a nice surprise to set me up for the day, Poached Eggs on Toast but as I went to post the picture I clicked the wrong button and deleted ! Sorry!
We then made yet another batch of ‘Ensaladilla Rusa’for the weekend and I also sweated off some mixed Peppers, Onions and Peas to go in the savory Basmati Rice for tonight’s supper.

I have just had an e-mail from Kelvin over in Ruthin to say that his wife Gaye has also read all the 'Patterson's' and recommending that we try Lee Child,Peter James,which I have read or Linwood Barclay,so if we don't enjoy the 'Connelly' books will try them anyway " Thanks !!

At lunchtime yesterday Anna called in to say that they had just got their electrity re-connected after over a month so they are moving back to their own house, no more ‘Take-Outs’ needed!

Yesterday morning as we were in ‘Super Sol’ Lumy from Bar Rojas came over and asked if we would like to go on a free trip to Malaga next Saturday, it’s organized by the Cultural Department and sponsored by the ‘Junta D’Andalucia’ as they are putting on a Gastronomic Festival in the famous bullring! There is also free-time to go and have a look around the new port area of the city - so off we go!

This morning ‘Saturday Morning Kitchen’ was on later due to the live coverage of the qualifying from the Grand Prix in India – for a change I was able to watch the BBC TV coverage;Vettel on pole and if he wins on Sunday it will be his fourth World Championship in a row - boring! Later it’s the qualifying from the Motor GP in Japan. Football results later, overnight I had an e-mail from Terry in France saying amongst other things that he is a Manchester City supporter.

Liverpool 4 v West Brom 1with a stunning Suerez hat-trick and a good result for Big Bri over in Pori,Finland Aston Villa 0 v Everton 2 !

Last night as we were watching the film there was a knock at our front door, it was Carlos with Tom, Dave’s & Debbie’s Pro-Golfer’ son! He has moved here and is renting Carlos’s house in the village; he is being locally sponsored in a series of Golf Tournaments down here on the Costa Del Sol, more news tomorrow as he is joining us for supper!

Tonight for supper we are having one of our favorites ‘Pan-Fried Turkey Escalope’s’ in foaming Lemon Butter with the savory rice and a sauceboat of creamy Mushroom sauce. The ‘El Clasico’ game at Barcelona will be on later along with all the highlights from England.I have the Barcelona game on the large PC in the office with coverage from either a Russian channel or via Portugal !! Both languages are rather hard to understand !! No matter Barcelona lead at half time 1-0 ! Full-Time result Barcelona 2 Real Madrid 1 !!

Thought for the Day; See above.
