SUNNY AND HOT MANILVA ON FRIDAY

FRIDAY 11th/ OCTOBER 2013.

After our tea and toast we went down to Sabinillas for the shopping; I called into the bank and Brenda went into the wholesale Fruit & Vegetable market, we then cleared out ‘Mercadona’ and collected the papers. Then after unpacking we went for our walk with the dog down to the local market for some fresh flowers and on the way back bought our Saturday night ‘Steak a la Plancha’

I’ve just come up from the kitchen after getting things on the go for tonight, I have made some Tartar sauce as tonight we are having ‘Goujons of Panga’ – it’s a White fish a bit like Hake,Mano and Anna dropped it off when their deep freeze went off so I’ve done a take-out box for them for this evening! The breadcrumbs are from the local bakery and they cook crisp and golden, we are having them with square chips and Garden Peas.

Down at the park they are getting ready for tomorrows outside celebrations; the stage and seating are ready and they are busy putting the finishening touches around the park as you can see in the pictures above; the weather forecast for the weekend is bright and sunny, by lunchtime it is hot with just a little breeze, the best time of the year! It sounds like from the programme of events that the official opening will start at 5-00pm and finish at 10-00pm.!

Tonight there is ‘FIFA World Cup Qualifying – European region’ football; Spain play Belarus - 2-1 for Spain and England play Montenegro 4-1 for England; over the weekend it’s the ‘Malaysian Motor GP and the Japanese Grand Prix.

We are still in our ‘Happy Hour’ routine up on the roof terrace, cocktails, loud music and reading as the sun is still around in the early evening, after our supper we will find a film to watch, last night we caught a ‘Runaway Train movie’ based on a real live incident in the USA when a large freight train with no driver was “Unstoppable” – from 2010 it stars Denzel Washington. Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson and is rather exciting right up to the end!

Thought for the Day; See above.
