SUNNY AND WARM MANILVA ON SUNDAY ROAST DAY;

SUNDAY 20th/ OCTOBER 2013.

Well we awoke to another glorious sunny and warm day down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’; after our tea and toast we got things ready for tonight’s Sunday Roast; Roast Loin of Pork with Glazed Apple slices and a savory Rosemary and Chestnut stuffing and finger licking gravy ! Brenda has gone to town on her vegetables as well, Cauliflower & Broccoli florets in a four-Cheese sauce! – Sliced local Carrots & Baby Turnips, Ratatouille, Garden Peas and Parsnip chips with Baby New Potatoes and my famous Goose Fat Roast Potatoes.

To start we are having Tapas of local Chorizo, semi-Curado Cheese, Russian salad and cooked, sliced Pork sausages seeped in Worcestershire sauce! And for dessert it’s made to order ‘House Crepes!’ Gillian and Lillemor are joing us for Gillian’s ‘Last Supper’ before she returns to the UK. We have a magnum of ‘Le Altanza –Rioja Reserva 2004 –Cuvee Salvador Dali’ on stand-by as the three girls are Red Wine drinkers!
See the picture above!

At lunchtime after freshening ourselves up we went for a walk around the new park and ended up back at Bar Rojas sat under the ‘Sonbrajo’for a cool drink with a Tapas of diced savory Liver.

This afternoon I will be watching the highlights of the ‘Australian Motor Grand Prix’ – Jorge Lorenzo’s world title hopes remain alive after he won a dramatic race; Marc Marquez, the young pretender to the throne and the championship leader was disqualified because he failed to pit in the required time as the rider’s had to change bikes mid-race due to safety concerns over tires because of the newly-resurfaced track at Phillip Island! It leaves two races to go, first in Japan at Motegi and then the final race in Valencia!! Marquez leads by only 18 points now!!

Last night after our supper and watching the football highlights watched again two films by channel hopping; “ The Expendables” from 2010,an Ensemble action movie starring, written and directed by Sylvester Stallone – so all action,no acting then! With Jason Statham, Jet Li,Dolph Lundgron,Steve Austin,Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis !! And on the next channel, “ Primal Fear” from 1996 – a neo-noir crime thriller with Richard Gere,Edward Norton and Laura Linney,

Thought for the Day; See above.
