A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 6th/ OCTOBER 2019.  “ CANADA WEEK – DEPARTURE DAY “

We all had a nice, long lie in this morning after our last evening of celebrating with our Canadian family, down at their villa on the ‘Manilva Beach’ complex, ‘Winnie’ who was made a big fuss off by all the folks, collapsed on the foot of our bed and slept all night, after freshening up Brenda took her out for her first walk of the day, when she returned I had her famous ‘ Campo Poached Eggs on Toast’ – Scrambled for her on brown toast, with mugs of strong ‘PG’ Tips tea.

We had a lovely evening, sat outside on the large patio, taking in the red sunset, listening the Mediterranean waves crashing in on the beach, with the crickets in the background, the Cava flowed, as Blake started the BBQ, to start he had prepared two large platters, one ‘Cheese’ based and the other ‘Pate & Cold Meats’ -Sandra had made a large Mixed Salad, on the BBQ, Blake seared Green Pepper, Courgettes & Onion rings, before the ‘Mini Turkey Brochett’s’ ( ours!) and two ‘Fillets of Iberico Pork’ - one of them dusted in a savoury paste, a memorable meal to finish their visit.

We sat outside with Sandra & Bill, as we had a very moving chat about the ‘past’ -  meanwhile the ‘ Gang of Six’ where still partying at the large dining room table, they joined us a little later as we made our final farewells, with lots of ‘ Hugs’

Lots of Love to all, we shall meet up again, one day in the future, hopefully! Watch this space.

PS; We are watching the ‘Air Transat TS 107 ‘ flight departure details as they leave Malaga to fly
back to a rather cold Montreal ( minus 3 degs!) – ‘En-Route & On Time’

This morning the sun broke through earlier and sky is bright blue and cloudless, with a light breeze, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 30 degs+ - the start of next week is going to be the same, then from Tuesday onwards it’s going a lot cooler, as the breeze stiffens, hovering in the low/mid 20s, with a few patchy clouds and in the air the threat of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ at times, next weekend is also going to be the same, watch this space.

Just a quick update on the sports results from yesterday; sadly Everton lost, again, 1-0 – Liverpool won 2-1 with a very late penalty ( 95 mins!) – their 17th consecutive win in the ‘ Premiere League’  - over here Real Madrid won 4-2.

Next week on Monday evening Brenda has her long overdue appointment with the ‘ Heart Consultant’ across at the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ – then on Wednesday lunchtime it’s her regular appointment with the ‘Kidney Consultant’ for her review/ check up, back at the Hospital, on Friday morning I will be back out on my travels to ‘Mercadona’ in Sabinillas for the last time in over two months ( closed for refurbishment)

One piece of exciting news is that our dear friend ‘ Big Brian’ has arrived back in sunny Manilva, after driving over from Cheshire, he’s back to work in Gibraltar, for his company, that have asked him to sort out some problems in their office, on a one year contract, watch this space!

PS; At lunchtime we stopped at  'Cafe Plaza' for a nice cool drink, as we were out walking 'Winnie ' - then later this afternoon we saw that ' Big Brian' was outside, so we shot along and had another nice cold drink with him and caught up with all his news!

For our supper this evening we are having an large flattened ‘ Angus Beef Steak’ – cut in half and seared ( a la minute) on a very hot griddle-plate ‘ Med-Rare’ – then left to rest, topped with ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs and garnished with seared Asparagus Spears & Button Mushrooms, with Baby Whole ‘ French’ Green Beans and of course triple-cooked ‘ Frits’

PS, The ‘ Staff’ have returned after their weeks holiday!

This afternoon & evening we will be back channel hooping to find something to watch, the ‘IPTV’ system is just about working, so we are using for now, the ‘ BBC I-Player & the ITV Hub’ to watch our regular programmes, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
