THURSDAY 24th/ OCTOBER 2019.
We had a nice long lie in this morning
after all the excitement of yesterday, after freshening up, as I was on the
breakfast rota, I had my favourite ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty’ –
smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of hot/strong
tea.
This evening ‘Scruffy’ is due to join us in
‘ Doggy World Heaven’ for a sleep-over, he will be collected later tomorrow, in
the afternoon ‘Sunny’ is due to arrive back with us for her two-week holiday,
then on Sunday lunchtime we have a surprise little guest re-joining us for a
one night sleep-over, little ‘Paddy’ who was with us last year for 8 weeks!
Watch this space.
Overnight the breeze has stiffened and this
morning it’s a little cooler & fresh, by lunchtime it’s only due to reach
21 degs+ - as the sun brakes through, tomorrow and over the weekend we are in
for more of the same, next week is now looking, after Monday, when we could
have some of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ – dry & settled with a few patchy clouds, as
the breeze drops, back up to 25/27 degs by mid-week, overnight up to 16/17
degs, warm for the time of the year, watch this space.
For our supper this evening we are having
the rest of the ‘ Braised Beef Slices in a rich Red Wine, Onion & Mushroom
Salsa’ with Baked Potatoes and a
selection of Vegetables, tomorrow evening it will be a ‘ Fish n‘ Chip ‘ supper, Saturday is ‘
Steak Night’ and then on Sunday I’m going to make one of our ‘Risotto’ recipes,
watch this space.
This afternoon and this evening we will be
back channel hopping to find something to watch, the ‘IPTV’ system is acting-
up, so at the moment I’m using the ‘BBC I-Player & ITV Hub’ as well as the ‘Sports
Channel’ to keep up with all the programmes that we follow.
PS; At the moment I still have a major technical
problem with publishing any more of the pictures on the Blog, it’s a storage
space issue, which I need help with upgrading, I’m waiting for Lee’s ‘ HELP’!
