A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA & MARBELLA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 9th/ OCTOBER 2019.

We had a little lie in this morning after a better night’s sleep, ‘Winnie’ slept all night as usual, after freshening up Brenda too her out for her first walk of the day, meanwhile as I was on the breakfast rota, you’ve guessed already, I had a ‘Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty ‘ smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, open on brown for Brenda, with sautéed sliced Mushrooms on hers and mine! Mugs of strong/hot tea, set us up for the unexpected day ahead!

We set off along the coast road past a sparkling Mediterranean, with the sun already up and blinding, the sky was bright blue and there was just a very light breeze, as we headed past Marbella to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ for Brenda’s appointment with her ‘ Kidney Consultant’- we then hit a major problem, as we arrived ahead of time, this time the main underground car park was full, with over thirty cars waiting, back down the road, to enter, I shot around to the outside main car parks, which were also full, with cars double parked! I came back around to the main entrance to drop Brenda off, where I was very lucky to find a small spot, next to the bus stop, on Yellow lines, after asking one chap to move forward a little, it was in the shade, right opposite the front door! All the road around the Hospital had cars double-parked on Yellow lines/crossings etc, I decided to stay in the car with ‘ Winnie’ in case the local ‘Policia’ came along!

Brenda was very lucky as she went straight in on time, her regular ‘Kidney Consultant ‘ - after giving her a check-over and reviewing her blood test results etc, she gave her the very good news, all her readings are a lot better, she is responding to treatment and she has signed her off, back to our own Doctor, Natalia, after changing just one of her prescription tablets!  “ A GREAT RESULT “

When we retuned we had a nice cool celebration drink, sat outside in the very warm sunshine, in the shade, at ‘ Caferteria Nacho ‘ as the World passed us by, lots of friends came along, catching up with all our news, our old friends Josie, who is back over for a short while, has asked us to join her next Tuesday lunchtime at ‘ Bar Castillo for a late ‘ Wake’ in remembrance of her late husband, Dennis, who died a year ago to the date, sadly after a very nasty illness.

As I said today is another very pleasant day down her on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – not as forecast, it’s very hot & sunny, by the time we came out of the Hospital up to 28/29 degs+ again! – tomorrow its’ now going a little cooler as the breeze and new front now comes in, off the Atlantic, back down to 22/23 degs – overnight still hovering on the 18 degs mark, for now! Over the weekend, from Friday onwards, there are patchy clouds around and the threat of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ is in the air, next week is basically staying the same, as the front hangs around, about normal for the time of the year, watch this space.

As usual, as we were getting ready I was listening to the ‘ Andrew Charles Breakfast Show’ on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW”  as the ‘ Music Quiz’ came on, I got it straight away, as he gave a couple of clues, it was ‘Alice Cooper’ with ‘ School’s Out’! I’m in the  winner’s list, for Friday’s draw!

I have now received some pictures from Sandra, that I was not able to publish last week, in a very good quality, due to a system overload, not allowing Bills pictures to be shown. They show our visit, last Friday lunchtime, to the ‘ Restaurante Sarmiento Brasa Andaluza’ up in Casares

See below;

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Omelette’s of Choice ‘ – ‘Cheese ( Grated Mild Cheddar & Parmesan)  for Brenda, as usual, and ‘ Paysanne ‘  ( diced small and fried Potatoes, Shallots, Smoked Ham & Green Peppers) for me,  with triple-cooked ‘ Frits’! Tomorrow evening, when our friend Andy is joining us, it’s going to my now famous ‘ Chicken & Mushroom Curry’ with Brenda’s equally famous ‘ Basmati Rice!

We are catching up with all the ‘ Quiz Shows’ that we follow, in the afternoon/early evening and then will later channel hop to find something to watch – ‘ Fingers Crossed’ that the ‘IPTV’ system is responding?!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
