A STILL VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 12th/ MAY 2019.

We managed a little lie in this morning before a quick freshen up, then toast & tea, before getting this evenings supper prepared.

Overnight we had a nice ‘ News Message’ update form Sandra & Bill over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, via the ‘ Facebook Messenger’ page, we are contacting the folks later this afternoon, for a quick ‘ catch-up’ as Sandra is going into work, despite it being ‘ Mothers Day ‘ over there, they have booked all their flights and are arranging the hire cars, for the families visit at the start of October, its’ also ‘ Mothers Day’ over in Australia, so at the same time we would like to wish Lyn “ Happy Mother’s Day “ also!!

                                                                                             " HAPPY MOTHERS DAY "

The sun was out early and as there is a light breeze, all the clouds have cleared and the sky is bright blue, it also means that it’s a little cooler than yesterday, down to just 25 degs+! – making it a glorious day down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – overnight it’s hovering on the 18 degs mark, next week is now going a little warmer as the week goes on, reaching 28 degs by Thursday, still with a few patchy clouds around, next weekend is going to be the same as this weekend, the following week, when we are out & about, is at the moment looking the same- if just a little cooler, watch this space.

See below a spectacular picture, taken from the top of the ‘ Anglican Cathedral’ showing Liverpool and the River Mersey yesterday!

Tomorrow morning we will be up very early as Brenda has an important, special ‘ Blood Test’ etc, at the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ past Marbella, ready for her appointment with the ‘ Kidney Consultant’ the following week,  we will also ‘check-out’ her appointment with the ‘ Heart Consultant’ - that came in the post the other day. On the way back I’m dropping Brenda off in Estepona, for some retail shopping, I’m then going along to the ‘ Estepona Hospital’ as Encarni said that she will fit me in for a session of ‘ Physio’ on my hand, I’m then back on Thursday morning for another session.

On Tuesday afternoon I have my monthly appointment for my ‘ V12’ injection, down at the main ‘ Medical Centre’ in Sabinillas,  I will also arrange an appointment for my Blood Tests etc, for my appointment with the ‘Prostate Consultant’ later in the month. Finally on Friday morning I will be back out on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping.

While I have been typing/posting today’s Blog I have been listening to ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’  to the ‘Pete Black Retro Roadshow’ – as the ‘ Movie Quiz’ came on, I got it straight away, it was ‘ Humphrey Bogart’ in” The African Queen ‘ from 1951!  ‘ Lady’ Brenda has gone into the monthly draw, again, for the special Mug! Watch this space.

This evenings supper, as you will have guessed, is, a small joint, of Boned & Rolled, ‘ Roast Topside of Beef ‘ – cooked ‘Pink-no blood’ with Yorkshire Puddings and my famous ‘ finger-licking’ Pan Gravy, that I have just made. The ‘ Vegetable Chef’ has prepared Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a three Cheese sauce, Glazed Carrot Batons with Diced Turnips, Roast/Braised Onions, whole ‘French ‘ Green Beans & Garden Peas, not forgetting the famous ‘ Goose-Fat Roast Potatoes’ – accompanied with ‘ Horseradish’ sauce.

PS, The mobile knife sharpener has just stopped outside the house, with his ' Wind Pipes' chimes, he was very impressed with my three knifes, especially the ' French' Sabatiere carving knife, as he hand sharpened them on his Moped machine/stones!

At lunchtime went along to ' Bar Castillo ' which was very busy, we sat outside in the shade, for a nice cool drink and some of their excellent 'Tapas'

Yesterday we watched the Horse Racing, then the Grand Prix qualifying, later the Rugby Union, today, this afternoon, it will be the Football as Liverpool & Manchester City play to win the ‘Premiere League’

After supper last night we settled down to watch on ‘BBC FOUR’ the first episode of “ Cardinal “ – a very gripping & exciting police crime drama from Canada, which has won many awards over there, the troubled Detective, his wife has just committed suicide by jumping off a tall building, and his lady Detective partner, start with a gruesome shooting/murder, with no bodies and a missing witness. Then a series of killings at cash point machines, a suicide, when a youngster shoots himself in the head in front of the Lady Chief of Detectives, then out of the blue there is man having his throat slit and four killers breaking into a house to attack/kill the occupant! All this takes place in Algonquin Bay, north of Toronto!! Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
