A VERY ' HUMID' WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF AN ' HELLUVA' WEEK.

MONDAY 8th/ OCTOBER 2018.

I was early this morning to see little princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she’s with us for the next four days, as usual she shot onto her duvet, ‘ Chico’ spent the night under our bed, he lets us know when it’s time to go out by tapping Brenda on the shoulder! No doubt, later, ‘ Chispa’ will come calling, so see all her friends & us, watch this space.

After freshening up Brenda took him out for his first walk of the day, meanwhile I was on the ‘Breakfast Rota’ so I prepared my now famous ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong tea, for when they returned, I then made some phone calls to start to arrange the details for the visit of Sandra & Bill, this coming
Sunday.

We are meeting the agent for the apartment on Saturday afternoon to pick up the keys etc, I checked on the times of the trains from San Roque to Benaojan, as we are planning to return to the excellent ‘ El Molino Del Santo’ I’m waiting to hear from ‘Kokomo’ – our favourite ‘ Sunday Lunch Restaurant’ – to see if they open, we are going across, one day, to show the folks ‘Puerto Banus’ & then ‘El Corte Ingles’ ( The Harrods’ of Spain!) before going for lunch at the celebrity restaurant “ La Sala “ ( using our 10% discount card!)  Also on the agenda are visit’s to Tarifa & Bolonia, as well as a possible trip across to Africa, to see Tangier, on the fast ferry!

Another day we will show the folks around Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria and then Sanlucar de Barrameda. If we have the time we would like to go back to Seville, we were last there over ten years ago, to show them the city and around the sites, locally we will be out & about in Sabinillas, Puerto de la Duquesa, Castillo de la Duquesa & Sotogrande, as well as sunny Manilva! Watch this space.

This morning has started very ‘ Humid’  - the sun is out and there are a few clouds about, there is a light breeze, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 27 degs+ - still warm & sunny, overnight hovering around 19/20 degs, still a little warmer, for October, the rest of the week is looking a little cooler, with still patchy clouds and the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ at times, next week is now also forecast to be the same, back to normal for the time of the year, watch this space.

Just a very quick update of yesterdays football results; Barcelona could only manage a 1-1 draw and Liverpool v Manchester City was a goalless draw!

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Sliced Cold Roast Topside of Beef’ – with a selection of vegetables & potatoes from last night, the rest of the week’s Menu’s are being selected later, watch this space.

After supper we will be watching the next exciting episode of “ Black Earth Rising “ as the plot thickens, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
