ANOTHER WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 3rd / APRIL 2016.

We had a nice long lie in this morning as we have a busy week in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ as well as being out & about on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – Monday I’m going to Estepona, on Tuesday lunchtime we are at the surgery and then on Friday morning I will be out for our weekly shopping; we had some nice fresh local Orange juice ( thanks Brenda!) with toast and tea for our breakfast, Brenda is now shampooing her hair downstairs and after typing & posting the Blog I’m shaving and showering as Brenda is coming upstairs to catch up with some ironing.

It’s another glorious day down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ with warm sunshine and clear skies, there is no breeze so its will reach 22/23 degs by lunchtime, the forecast for the week ahead was looking settled when we last caught up with it, will watch later to finds out how its going to carry on.See the picture below showing the road down to Sabinillas through the vine fields taken this morning.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Escalope of Turkey Breast’ grilled and served with Savoury Basmati Rice along with Diamond Cut Green Beans and a creamy Mushroom sauce on the side, next weeks menus are yet to be selected! At lunchtime I will pop along to ‘Bar Castillo’ for some take out Tapas & Paella.

On the sports front from yesterday Lewis Hamilton is on pole for today’s ‘Bahrain Grand Prix’ – over in England Manchester City won 0-4 at Aston Villa and Liverpool could only draw, again, at home 1-1 with ‘ Spurs; over here in ‘ El Classico’ Barcelona 39 match un-beaten run ended when Real Madrid beat them 1-2 with guess who scoring the winning goal, yes it was ‘ Big Head’ Ronaldo! I will get some comments when I go out at lunchtime from all the local Real Madrid supporters!!

My Liverpool picture today shows one of the last old ‘ Light Ships’ from the River Mersey that I remember seeing out at sea off the beach,as a child, in Formby;

Our friend Nigel and his wife Wendy are catching up with North Wales as they are now retired and are out & about all over the place, yesterday they went down the ‘ Llyn’ Peninsula and on their way back stopped at Porthmadog, see the picture of the famous “ Cob Records’ by the harbour, its the ‘UKs’ largest specialist international record dealer of old & new vinal ( making a come back!) cassettes etc – they then drove through Beddgelert, on a typical ' wet' day, past the famous  “ Royal Goat Hotel “where we were the Manager’s 44 years ago to the month!!

Last night after watching the semi-finals of “ The Voice “ on BBBC TV  we then found a late film to watch “ Last Vagas “ from 2013, a comedy (?) about four old men in Las Vegas. for one of their bachelor’s party, as one of them is due to marry a young ‘ Bird’! Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman & Kevin Kline, all looking very old in real life try to act out one another and the old love interest is played by my favourite ‘ Southern Belle’ Mary Steenburgen.

PS; I've just put today's washing out up on the roof terrace as its a good dry day!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
