A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND;

FRIDAY 8th /APRIL 2016.

I was up early this morning and after seeing ‘ Reina’ back for the day. she’s staying with us for night also, I shot off on my travels down through the vine fields to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping, Brenda had a nice long lie after her first time back in our bed for seven weeks!

I called into our bank for some cash and then stopped at the ‘English Bookshop’ for the local newspapers, I then did our main shop in ‘ Mercadona’ before shooting along the coast road past Duquesa Marina to go for my appointment with the ‘ Helicopteros Sanitarios’ agent to re-register with the company, we are now fully covered and will not have any more problems when/if we need medical assistance in the future.

On the way back I went along the promenade in Sabinillas for some fresh flowers & wall plants, finally I called into ‘ Super Sol’ for some English essentials; its another beautiful day down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’- the sun was out early, the sky is clear and blue and there is just a little light breeze, the weekend is looking settled and next week is also going to be fine, see the pictures below of Sabinillas beach front this morning.

Yesterday after noon we watched the Horse Racing from the ‘Grand National’ meeting at Aintree on Channel 4, it was very exciting with lots of spectacular winners, the Amateur Riders ‘ Crabbie’s Fox Hunter Steeple Chase’ over the Grand National fences was very exciting, today its ‘ Ladies Day’ - see below the sunrise over the Liverpool waterfront this morning!

Last night after supper we caught the next episode of “ Line of Duty’ on BBC 2 – no murders this week, more intrigue with a nasty corrupt cop who is working in the ‘Anti Corruption Department’ – a surprise result in an on-going corruption trail  and the uncovering of a child paedophile ring- watch this space.

For our Friday ‘ Fish Supper’ this evening I’m making my famous “ Seafood Risotto “ with Cod, Hake & Salmon Fillets, Mussels, Prawns & Gambas and any other fish I can find in the deep freeze! Tomorrow night its going to be another old classic “ Beef Stroganoff “ made to my own recipe and served with Rice & ‘ Matchstick’ Frits!! See below this evenings " Seafood Risotto "

See below a picture taken this evening of ' Puerto de la Duquesa '

Brenda is getting around a bit but will have to take things slowly as she tries to get back on her feet, the lounge is back to normal and we are eating off the table again, not trays! Next week we are planning to go out for dinner on the ‘ Chefs’ night off, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
