A CRISP & CLEAR SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 20th/ FEBRUARY 2016.

I put the gas bottle out last night and stayed in bed this morning until the gas bottle delivery man called with the new one, I then got up and shot along to the Chemists in Calle Mar for Brenda’s regular tablets, she requested for her breakfast some Cheese on Toast fingers and I had for a change a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg Butty’ with a mug of steaming Tea!

Yesterday afternoon Mano & Anna called in, Anna had been looking for a 'Bell' for Brenda to ring when she needs attention! As they were leaving after tea & biscuits 'Big Bri' called in and stayed for a long chat and gossip, he was bearing a gift " Ferrero Rocher "

It was then time for me to watch ‘Saturday Morning Kitchen’ before catching up with the housework; I cleaned the gas stove and caught up with the general cleaning before hitting the Marble floors with a hot mop, Bathroom, Office, Bedroom. Stairs & Corridors, Lounge, Main Kitchen and finally the Back Kitchen and downstairs Toilet!! All the doors and windows are open to freshen everywhere up as the threatened rain & wind has not arrived, its clear and dry with a slight breeze and the sun has just broken through and the sky is blue.

At lunchtime Jan phoned to arrange ‘Charlie’s’ visit next weekend, he’s arriving on Saturday evening and is with us until the following Sunday evening, when Jan heard about Brenda she offered any help, she said would I like her to do the washing & drying as she just about to start hers, I was just about to start so I took her up on her very kind offer and she has just collected the large bag and at the same time brought Brenda a load of magazines! Many thanks!! Watch this space.

On the sports front this weekend I will be watching the Horse Racing later from Ascot, Haydock Park & Wicanton; its the 5th Round of the ‘FA Cup’ as Everton travel all the way down to Bournemouth today and then tomorrow Manchester City go down the M6/M1 to play Chelsea; over here in ‘La Liga’ Barcelona are over in Las Palmas and Real Madrid are here at Malaga.

For this evenings supper I’m keeping things simple, we are having Grilled ’Entrecote Steak’ cut ‘French Style’ with whole Green Beans and just a few ‘Frits’- tomorrow I’m going to pick up a ‘Roast Chicken’ from the ‘Rotisserie’ in Calle Mar.

I have just posted on ‘Facebook’ a thank you message to all our family and friend around the World as well as all our local friends & neighbours in sunny Manilva, many thanks to all – see the picture below of her foot/ankle in plaster!! She will return!!

PS; I think that there is a ‘ Carnival ‘ Parade this evening at 6-00 pm along Calle Mar, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
