MONDAY 11TH/ JANUARY 2016.
Just a slight lie in this morning as the
sounds of drilling from the site started early, its the heating and electrical
engineers this time! Overnight we had some heavy rain but by this morning its
at the moment dry but with a stiff breeze, we have lost over 5 degs to the day
time temperatures due to the cold fronts ( from the Atlantic & Russia!) The
forecast for the next couple of days is looking dry & cold ( 16/17 degs )
and into single figures for the night time! There are ‘Red & Orange’ alerts
for today; don’t go out to sea as it will be will be very windy and rough - so
we won’t!! It’s also started to rain!!
After breakfast I shot along to the
chemists in Calle Mar for my tablets, ‘ Keep Taking Them’ as our doctor says!
When I got back I’m up in the office on the WWW catching up with the E-Mails, Facebook
messages etc. I’ve also printed off our contract negotiations details ready for
our meeting at the end of the week with the family lawyers.
This morning Andrew Charles was back on air
on ‘Castle Radio FM 89.2’ with his morning breakfast show and this evening he’s
back with the ‘Drive Time’ show – welcome back and all the very best for 2016 –
your dulcet tones have been sadly missed! I’m still available and ready to re-start my ‘fledgling’
radio career – watch this space – I’ve also suggested some ideas for a ‘Food
Show’ to attract more listeners/advertising etc.
For our supper this evening I’m just about
to make, after typing and posting the Blog, a “ Pork & Mushroom Tarragon
Casserole “ which we are going to have with the leftover vegetables and a Baked
Potato; the weeks menu’s have yet to decided – watch this space. See below.
Brenda is in one of her ‘ing’ modes this morning, washing, cleaning, drying, polishing, mopping etc. and any other ‘ ing’ that she can find to do! I’m up in the office ( Studio !) - meanwhile, keeping out of her way, for now.

Last night after supper we watched on TVE 1
( no adverts!) the black comedy western “ Django Unchained “ from 2016 – written
& directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Jamie Foxx, the weird
Christoph Waltz in a award winning performance, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry
Washington, the nearly un recognisable Samuel L Jackson and a ‘cameo’ part for
Franco Nero; the ending sequence has to be seen to be believed!!
