WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 19th/ MAY 2014.

We were up sharpish this morning and after breakfast we shot down to the surgery to get an appointment for Brenda as her cough is not getting any better, our doctor is on extended holiday so she could not get one until a week today; so she is going back this afternoon to see the emergency doctor!

We then went across to the Bus Station over in Marbella to pick Gillian up as she was on an early flight from Bristol, she is here for nine days to sort her house out, we asked her to come around for a light supper tomorrow night and to bring her friend Lillemor; the weather today is hot as the breeze has dropped - 28degs but then for the next two days it’s a little cooler and overcast because we have the tail end of the bad weather now hitting the UK, then we are then back to it going hotter for the rest of the week and over the weekend.

The dog came calling as we got back from our travels so we went for a short walk around the village to pick up some fresh vegetables, unusually the butchers was closed with no notice to say why?!  For tonight’s supper we are having English Pork Sausages, Smoked Bacon, fried ‘Campo’ Eggs and a few twice-cooked chips! Tomorrow we are having ‘Escalope’s of Chicken Breast’ pan-fried in foaming Lime Butter with savory ‘Basmati’ Rice, finely sliced Green Beans and a rich creamy Mushroom sauce.

One piece of sport news is that Sir Bradley Wiggins is back in form as he has just won the ‘Tour of California’ – so he could be in this years ‘Tour of France’ watch this space.

We settled down on the settee last night after our Sunday Lunch ‘Fun’ Day and found a film to watch “ Olympus is Fallen” from only 2013 – it’s about a terrorist attack on the ‘White House’ and the capture of the President; it stars Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Echart and Rick Yune – lots of shooting, stabbing and fighting follows!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
