DAMP BUT STILL SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 21st MAY 2014.

I was up first this morning and left Brenda for a lie in, she has had a slightly better night and is feeling a little better with not so much pressure on her chest/throat; overnight the rain’s came but it was dry and warm this morning so I shot around to the butchers for tonight supper before we have any more of the promised rain storms today, we are having marinated ‘Chicken Brochettes’ made with Shallots, Red Peppers and Mushrooms, served on a bed of savoury Basmati rice with Diamond- cut Green Beans and a little strong Piquant BBQ sauce on the side!

Brenda is now catching up with her washing, dryng, ironing, cleaning, scrubbing etc while I’ am up in the office catching up on the WWW reading and watching the news, checking the E-Mails etc. So it’s looking like a quiet day at home with some reading later.

The dog has arrived and is playing around the house,Scruffy is arriving later for the day so we will possible go for a short walk in between the showers with them both! See the pictures above. Just as we were to have a light salad lunch Lumy from 'Bar Rojas' brought a large jug of her famous " Gazpacho " which she had just made,so we had had two tall glasses (Spanish style) of it - delicious and very re-freshening !

The painter's are back as we have not had anymore rain - so far ! See the pictures above.

Tonight after supper we will find a film to watch if possible as at the moment a lot of the main channels have gone ‘European Election Mad!’

PS; Tomorrow morning Claus & Doreen are coming up to the village for a coffee with us up at 'Bar Rojas' before they set off back to Germany on Friday.

Thoughts for the Day; see above.
