WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 22nd/ MAY 2014.

Well we are back to normal in sunny Manilva today – It’s warm and sunny! Just as we were having our breakfast the Skype video alert went off, it was Jack and Lyn over in Australia with an update on their adventures/travels around the country; they are now just about to enter the ‘State of Queensland’ at ‘Coffs Harbour’ below Brisbane after going over the Sydney Harbour Bridge for the first time in the car with the caravan, they have been camped for a couple of days at ‘Taree’ on the banks of the Dawson River with Jack fishing – he caught nothing!

On route they have been in Newcastle, no they didn’t get lost! – then Port Macquarie – Jack says that he has two voices telling him where to go, the sat-nav and Lyn reading their special ‘RATC’ route map of the red-line ‘Highway One’ around Australia, anti-clockwise! I know how he feels; I had the same with Brenda and her maps of France & Spain!!  Safe journey and enjoy.

Last night we had another nice surprise when the phone went and it was our dear friend Joyce calling us from her house in ‘Alhaurin el Grande’ below Malaga; she is over for a few weeks after finally selling her house and nursery garden business over in Mostyn North Wales; she is in the process of buying a house in Chester where she has always wanted to live ie; “Ladies that Lunch!” We have not seen her for a couple of years so we are going to link up next week, Joyce is one of my oldest friends as we go back to our childhoods and lived in the same street in Liverpool! Her ex-husband John is also a very old friend and follows the Blog; they used to live in Spain for many years all over the place, from Gibraltar to Andorra! We are really looking forward to seeing her for a good catch-up and gossip and of course a nice bottle or two of Rosado Cava!!

At lunch time we are meeting Claus and Doreen up at Bar Rojas to say our goodbye’s for now, they are back in July.As you can see in the pictures above Kathrin came with them,we then 'De-camped' down to 'Bodegon Andaluz' for a very nice Tapas lunch with local wine! Safe journey to them and also Kathrin - so nice to meet you and we enjoyed your company.

The painters are back,it must be getting contagious as two of our neighbour's opposite have started to paint their houses - we will soon be the smartest street in sunny Manilva !!

Tonight’s supper is the rest of the ‘Chicken Brochettes’ with plain Basmati rice and my rich Tomato sauce on the side.The late film last night was “ Stolen ”from 2012 with Nicholas Cage playing a re-formed bank robber?! – based in New Orleans with Danny Hustino,Malin Akermo and Sami Gayle – rather good!

PS; Click on the " Happy " song and sing it LOUD - DANCE - it make you even more Happy !!
