A VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 11th/ MAY 2014.

This morning we overslept just a little so we had to get a move on to get things on the go and be ready for our guest’s Claus & Doreen arriving at 2-00pm; we made it just in time! They really enjoyed everything from my ‘Russian Salad’ with the ‘Rose Cava’-thanks to them for another bottle of the same one! Doreen had not eaten Roast Lamb and thought it was ‘Lecha!’ The ‘Muscatel Trifle’ went down very well and Claus loves Brenda’s ‘Bacardi & Coke’! See the pictures above. One bit of sad news is that their dog that they have had for over 14 years sadly died last week- our thoughts go out to them.

Today is the hottest day so far this year with the warm sunshine cracking the flags, there is no breeze and it hits you as you leave the house, the fans have been in full use today for the first time this year also! Next week is looking good with more of the same.

We are meeting Claus & Doreen next Sunday and going along to the ‘Manilva Green Apart hotel’ for Sunday lunch as Victor, Brenda’s dentist has how set up his restaurant in the hotel, the folks are also going to pick up Brenda’s watch from Estepona as they are going there next week – thanks!

After the folks had left I caught the end of the football over in England; Manchester City won 2-0,Liverpool won 2-1 and Everton won 0-2 which means that City are the new champions of the ‘Premier League’ with Liverpool sadly second, Everton will play in next seasons Europa Cup while both City and Liverpool will be in the Champions League! Sorry Big Bri !! Over here all three of the main teams are playing at the moment in ‘La Liga’ in must win matches – results later.

Real Madrid lost 2-0 so they can't win 'La Liga' - Barcelona drew 0-0 and Atletico Madrid also drew 1-1 at Malaga so it's all down to next weeks game Barcelona v Atletico Madrid as to who are the champions!

Up in Barcelona at the ‘Spanish Grand Prix’ Lewis Hamilton’ won his 4th race in a row and now lead the table, back in England Marianne Voss won the inaugural ladies ‘Tour of Britain’ and Mark Keittel won the 3rd stage of the ‘Giro D’Italia’ in Belfast.

We are now relaxing,I’am up in the office catching up on the WWW.and Brenda is watching the tennis from Madrid.Later we will find a film to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
