A LITTLE COOLER SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 21st/ AUGUST 2019.

We all managed a nice lie in this morning after another very hot night, Pucci’  decided to stay downstairs on his bed, on the three settees and the marble floor, ’Chico’ was upstairs in his favourite spot under our bed, we then had a quick freshen up and took them out for their first walk of the day around the bottom of the village.

They both have very good appetites, ‘Pucci’ has his own special meal, twice a day and ‘ Chico’ has his meal later in the afternoon, he’s due to be collected tomorrow morning, we are going to miss him terribly, as he’s been with us for nearly three weeks, then on Friday morning ‘Pucci’ is due to be picked up by Carolina, his owner – he’s also going to be missed, as we have also fallen in love with him, he’s due back with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘over Xmas, then of Friday afternoon ‘ Sunny’ is back with us for the weekend.  ‘ Chispa’ came crashing in a little later after we returned for our breakfast to see all her friends and us!

I had ‘ Weetabix’ with sliced Banana and Brenda had her usual brown toast, with mugs of strong tea. Brenda is washing & shampooing her hair, meanwhile I have shot up to the office/studio and go on the ‘WWW’ before typing/posting today’s Blog.

While we were getting ready I was listening to the ‘Andrew Charles’ Breakfast Show on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW” The ‘Music Quiz’ came on, it was 4 second opening ‘rift’- I got it straight away, it was “ The Stray Cats “ with ‘ Rock This Town ‘ – so I’m in this week’s draw on Friday morning, again!

This morning the sun is slowly breaking through, it’s still cloudy and there is a stiff breeze, making it rather pleasant to be out, the sky is blue, there is still the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ in the air, in other parts of Spain they have had severe rain storms, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 28 degs+ - tomorrow a little cooler as the breeze stiffens, over the weekend it’s staying the same, next week is now looking warmer & sunny, as the breeze drops, up to 32 degs+ again by next Wednesday, then hovering on the 30 degs+ mark, just in time for the ‘ Vendimia Wine Festival’ next weekend! Over in Liverpool, on Monday, the “ Queen Victoria “ was berthed at the Pier Head, on a ‘ British Isles’ cruise,  see the pictures below taken from the famous ferry boat  the ‘Royal Iris ‘

Yesterday the “ Celebrity Reflection “  was pictured passing Crosby beach, with a ‘ Sir Antony Gormley ’ statue, watching it leaving the River Mersey!

For our supper this evening we are keeping things very simple, we are having ‘ Escalope’s of Chicken Breast’ grilled and topped with a ‘Lemon/Balsamic’ Vinegar Butter, served with Whole ‘ French’ Green Beans & Parsley New Potatoes. Tomorrow evening the ‘ staff’ have been given the night off, so no doubt they will be going out on the ‘ Town’ – to ‘Bar Castillo’ for some nice cool drinks and a light ‘ Tapas’ supper, watch this space.

Last night after supper we settled down to watch the next very gripping episode of ‘Keeping Faith ‘ as all the lawyers problems got a lot more difficult, to say the least, the Police are after her, for money laundering, her colleague lady lawyer, has been giving business secrets to her lesbian lover, for money!  Her husband, just out of prison, is back into his old ways, including threatening to kill ‘Faiths’ – Lover – again! The ‘Baddy ‘ lady villain and her nasty husband are still up to no good, meanwhile Faith thinks that it was the young son, of the famer that was shot, that shot him, not his wife, who has gone to prison for his murder, meanwhile another body has turned up! Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
