A VERY ' CLOSE ' & HOT SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 11th/ AUGUST 2019.

We managed a little lie in this morning after another very hot night, despite being very uncomfortable, after freshening up, Brenda took ‘ Chico’ out for his first walk of the day, we then had our light breakfast of fresh fruit ( chilled slices of Nectarines) toast & tea, before getting the day on the go.

‘Sunny’ arrived, later in the morning, for her short holiday with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ – she’s with us until Thursday morning, she is a very lively ‘Water Dog’ – tomorrow morning and on Tuesday little ‘ Miss Bella’ is back with us for the day! Watch this space.

This morning the sun was out early, there is still a light (Poinente) breeze blowing down from the mountains behind the village, there are a few clouds still in the blue sky, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 32 degs+ - at the start of next week we could have a little sea mist and a overcast start to the days, it will still be hovering at 31 degs, going a little cooler, as the week goes on, in the high 20s,then by next weekend back up to 31/33 degs+ Yesterday inland and over in Malaga it reached 42 degs+! Watch this space.

Just a quick update on the sports results; Manchester City won 0-5 and it could have been more is there was no ‘ VAR’  (  Video Assistant Referee ) - for the first time in the ‘Premier League’! Sadly Everton could only manage a 0-0 draw.

Today it’s a ‘World Cup’ Rugby Union, warm-up game at Twickenham as England welcome Wales, yesterday Ireland played Italy and won 29 -10 with an experimental team ( no Jonny Sexton!) – the ‘ World Cup’ takes place in Japan later in the year.

This lunchtime we will be picking up a ‘Roast Chicken ‘ from the ‘ Rotisserie’ in Calle Mar, that Brenda ordered yesterday, when we are out with both of the dogs, no doubt we call in for a nice cool drink at ‘ Bar Castillo’!

For our supper this evening we will be having the ‘ Roast Chicken’ with a nice bowl of my famous ‘ Ensalada Rusa- Russian Salad ‘ that I made yesterday afternoon, with Brenda’s help, she cooks/prepares all the ingredients – I just mix them in the bowl!

We are taking today very easy, as usual at this time of the year, this evening after supper we will settle down to watch the next gripping episode of “ Poldark “ as he arrives in London as an MP!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
