A VERY CALM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 11th/ JANUARY 2017.

I was up very early this morning to welcome ‘ Scruffy’ back with us, last night Rose rang to ask if we could have him as she was taking Adrian across to the Hospital first thing in the morning, he’s been re-admitted back into the ‘ Heart’ ward for observation, so ‘ Scruffy’ is staying with us for a sleep over until things settle down, later ‘ Reina’ arrived and they both ended up on the bed for a little lie in.

We then had our regular breakfast, I shot out to the Chemists for my prescriptions and then carried on down to the Butchers to stock up;  ‘Pork Chops, Chicken Wings, Burgers & Escalopes of Chicken Breast’

This morning the sun was out early, the sky is blue and there is no breeze, a perfect day here in sunny Manilva, the rest of the week is looking fine & settled and over the weekend we are in for more of the same.

See below the Red sunsets yesterday evening, the last few evenings have been the same.

So for our supper this evening we are having ‘ Baked Pork Chops’ – they are double-thick-cut ‘English’ style – I will sear them on the very hot griddle plate and then bake them in the over with glazed ‘Fuji’ Apple slices, the ‘ Vegetable Chef ‘ is preparing finely sliced Green Beans & glazed Carrot Batons along with our favourite ‘ Lyonnaise’ Potatoes. On Thursday we are having the ‘ Chicken Wings’ and then on Friday my famous ‘ Seafood Risotto’ has been requested, Saturday will be ‘ Steak Night’ and on Sunday it’s still TBC.

Still no sign in the post of Brenda’s new ‘Green Health Card’ so I’m going to call into our local sun-post office, tomorrow morning, to check and we will also ring the ‘ Junta de Andalucia ‘ office to chase them up, watch this space.

In the early evening we still have our ‘ Happy Hour ‘ cocktails except the Brenda now has a glass of White Wine ( No G & T!) – I’m still on my ‘ Cuba Libre’ – we then catch the ‘Quiz’ shows before supper, later we still channel hop to find something to watch, we are following more serials on BBC & ITV, the films on ‘Spanish TV’ lately have not been very good, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
