A CRISP & CLEAR SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 10^th/ JANUARY 2017.

I was up first this morning and welcomed ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, we all had a little lie in before getting the day on the go, Brenda grabbed a quick shower while I got our breakfast ready, fresh Orange Juice with ‘ Smoked Bacon Butties’ – open for Brenda – with mugs of steaming ‘ PG Tips’

It’s a at home day, taking things easy, Brenda has the second washing on the go and I’m up in the office/studio on the ‘WWW’ catching up with all the news, checking the ‘ E-Mails & Facebook’ messages etc, we are settling back into our normal routines after all the excitement over the ‘Xmas’ festivities.

Brenda’s new ‘ Green Health Card ‘ didn’t arrive in the post yesterday sp she will have to go along to our Chemist and buy her prescriptions, at the moment, at full price! We are chasing up our local sub-post office and also the ‘ Junta de Andalucia’ Watch this space.

Another little problem, at the moment, is that the ‘ Euro’ exchange rate has dropped over 4 points since the start of the New Year, it’s at its lowest in over a year, this is not good news as our ‘Pension’ transfers are due into our ‘Spanish Bank’ account over the next couple of weeks, watch this space.

This morning has started a little grey, cloudy & overcast but it’s due to pick up by lunchtime, the sun will break through and like yesterday it will be warm & sunny, the forecast for the rest of the week ahead and over the weekend is for more of the same, even getting a little warmer, no cold or wet weather on the horizon, for now!

On the ‘ Menu’ front we are having the rest of the ‘ Lob Scouse’ this evening with Cabbage with Acelgas & Pickled Red Beetroot, tomorrow morning I’m going along to our local Butchers to find something, ‘ Pork Chops, Meatballs, Burgers, Calves Liver, Chicken Wings, Braising Steak’ etc are on the shopping list, watch this space.

Yesterday evening we got back into our TV ‘quiz night’ - ‘ Pointless, Eggheads & University Challenge’ – I managed to answer three questions on ‘University Challenge’! ‘Great British Railway Journeys’ with Michael Portillo then followed, he went from Blackpool to Manchester in this episode, we then settled down after supper to watch ‘Silent Witness ‘ on BBC One, a two part episode, the second this evening, as the forensic pathology experts chase a gruesome double murderer?!  Finally a new comedy panel game ‘ Insert Name Here’ hosted by Sue Perkins.
