A VERY CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 11th/ DECEMBER 2016.

We managed another nice lie in this morning before taking ‘ Scruffy’ out for his first walk of the day, we spoke to Rose yesterday, she calls every day to let us know how things are going on at the hospital, there is still no change, Adrian is still in induced coma on a ventilator after his very serious heart attack, she is back and forth all the time, her neighbours are looking after her with food etc and taking her across when needed, he’s stable but still very ill, the doctors are waiting to be able to take him off the ventilator, it’s ‘fingers crossed’ time for now.

After returning from our walk we had breakfast, Brenda has a toasted Ham ‘Butty’ and she made for me my favourite ‘Egg Benedict’ – a perfectly Poached Egg resting on a slice of Smoked ‘Canadian’ Ham on crisp toast and then smothered in ‘Hollandaise’ sauce! See below;

We have another dry & crisp day ahead, there is just a little breeze, the sun is breaking through and the forecast for next week is now looking dry, warm & settled, for now.

We then dug out all the Xmas decorations & lights and have started to put them up in the lounge, it’s starting to feel like Christmas! See below the Xmas Tree with ' Scruffy' on the couch and the PC by the side that gives us the UK TV!

The Turkey & Beef are ordered, the wine cellar is filling up, we have all the ‘ Goodies’ – the menu’s are planned, the only thing missing is Michelle & Matt with their two kids, they are arriving at Gibraltar Airport on Xmas evening for two weeks ,they have an apartment just five minutes away along the coast going out of Sabinillas, watch this space.

For our supper this evening I’m going along to the local ‘ Rotisserie’ in Calle Mar to pick up a ‘Roast Chicken’ that I have ordered, we are having it with a nice seasonal Mixed Salad and Parsley New Potatoes, on Monday evening we are having the rest of the ‘ Pork Brochettes’ with Basmati Rice & Tomato salsa, the rest of next week is still TBC.

‘Reina’ is back with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ next week for five days and then on Saturday for a sleep over, just before Xmas Eve ‘ Charlie’ is due back with us for his annual  two week Xmas Holidays, this means that we could possibly have ‘ Scruffy & Charlie’ with us over the Xmas period, no doubt ‘ Chispa will be calling in & out all the time! Watch this space.

Just a quick update on the football results; Watford beat Everton 3-2 & Leicester beat Manchester City 4-2 with Vardy scoring a hat-trick, City’s defending was terrible, over here Barcelona won 0-3 and Real Madrid were lucky to win 3-2!

As I’ve been typing & posting the Blog we have had four ‘Parrandas’ bands come up our street past our house, with our new wall plants on display and if you look very closely 'Brenda' in the door! Two of them were locals and the other two are from other ‘White’ villages in the area, see above.

Finally see below a picture taken last night of the World famous ‘ Walker Art Gallery’ in Liverpool’s William Brown Street by the side of  St. Georges Hall.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
