A CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF ' XMAS ' WEEK.

MONDAY 19th/ DECEMBER 2016.

I was up early this morning to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, I then went back to bed for a little lie in, the last this week as we have a very busy ‘Xmas’ week ahead; after our regular breakfast I went along to the ‘Tabacs’ in Calle Mar to top up the mobile phones, I then went down to our butchers for this evenings supper and confirmed that I will be collecting the ‘Ribs of Beef’ for Boxing Day on Saturday morning.

‘ Scruffy ‘ has just arrived for a few hours as Rose goes across to the hospital to see Adrian, the news is a lot better, the doctors confirmed yesterday that all the fluid are off his lungs, he’s responding to the treatment/medicines and they are going to move him up to the ‘Cardio/Heart’ department this morning, he’s still on oxygen , just as a precaution and they said that he could possibly be home for Xmas, great news, watch this space.

This morning it’s dry & very crisp, the sky is bright blue and there is a light breeze, the sun is out and it looks like we are in for a nice week ahead leading up to the Christmas weekend, back to normal for the time of the year, watch this space and in the meantime check out the weather forecasts for sunny Manilva below;

First thing tomorrow morning we are going down to the main surgery in Sabinillas for Brenda’s special blood tests etc, we will then shoot back up the hill to the village to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day and ‘ ‘Scruffy’ a little later, on Wednesday morning I have my appointment with my ‘Prostrate Consultant’ at the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ for my yearly review/recall results, fingers crossed.

On Wednesday evening it’s the ‘Xmas Carol Concert’ down in the church with the ‘ Manilva Brass Band’ &  various village choirs, then on Thursday & Friday I’m out on my travels for the Xmas shopping!

Michelle has just sent me the details/phone number of the contact for the keys to her apartment, I’m going to ring him and arrange to go down to collect the keys, if possible before they arrive, on Xmas Eve, so as we can drop off the ‘ Welcome’ Food & Drinks Hamper! It’s all arranged and I’ve also confirmed the Hire Car drop off on Boxing Day! The only problem now is the baggage handlers threatened strike at Manchester Airport, watch this space?!

For this evenings supper we are having ‘ Grilled Escalopes of Chicken Breast’ coated with a Balsamic Vinegar/Lime Butter Salsa, whole green Beans and sautéed  thick-cut slices of Baked Potato. We are taking the menu’s one day at the time this week as we are out and about on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ It’s all getting rather exciting, to say the least!

This evening I’m going to try and tune in to catch the Everton v Liverpool  ‘ Derby ‘ game on ‘ First Row Sports ‘ so as we can watch the match on our large screen TV.

Thoughts for the Day; See above,
