A VERY CRISP AND SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 27th / DECEMBER 2016.

We were up this morning after a good night sleep, we took ‘ Charlie’ for his first walk of the day and then had our usual light breakfast when we returned, I then collected Michelle’s hire car from the car park and went down to the surgery, we have a technical problem, I’ve miss-placed Brenda’s ‘Green Health Card’- I used it last Thursday when I booked her next appointment, I was checking to see if I had left it on the desk etc, sadly no luck so we will have to apply for a new one, with Mano’s help, watch this space.

I then called into the garage to see Pedro to let him know that the ‘ Grua – Breakdown Truck’ is dropping off our car today, he will then check to see what is happening and give us the bad/good news, watch this space. I carried on down to Michelle’s apartment and she brought me back up to the village, they are relaxing and later going out for some shopping.

PS; The bad news is that the gear box is broken/gone, the ' GOOD' news is that Pedro has ordered a new one, delivery in 2/3 days, not as expensive as we thought . " RESULT " Watch this space.

This morning it’s very crisp, the sky is blue with some light clouds, there is just a little breeze, there is a small possibility of some rain later?! The rest of the week and over the ‘New Year’s’ weekend is looking settled and dry, for now, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Cold Roast Beef ‘ with a fry-up of the leftover vegetables & potatoes, the ‘Roast Sirloin of Beef’ on the bone, was cooked to perfection, even if I do say so myself! I left it to rest and took it off the bone to carve, it was ‘ Pink-Med Rare ‘ and melted in your mouth, it was succulent & very tasty, I will call in to thank our local butcher, tomorrow evening we are having ‘ Cold Roast Turkey ‘ with ‘ Chips’!  The fresh Turkey from the ‘English Butchers’ was also just right, moist and very tasty, again cooked to perfection by the ‘ Head Chef’!! It will then be the time to make a ‘ Turkey Casserole ‘ Watch this space.

Just a quick sports results update; Everton won 0-2 & Manchester City won 0-3 – Liverpool play today, in a thrilling ‘ King George VI Chase ‘ from Kempton Park  the novice‘ Thistlecrack ‘ overcame stablemate ‘Cure Card’ to win, it was rode by Tom Scudamore & trained by the in-form Colin Tizzard – the 11-10 favourite.

We are taking things very easy today after all the excitement over the Christmas celebrations, it’s been lovely to have Matt, Michelle, Hollie & Charlie here with us, the sound of the children was a very pleasant change, they are such good company and they spoilt ‘ Charlie’ rotten, he’s been ever so good with them, they are used to dogs as they have two ‘ Siberian Husky’s’ !!  Tomorrow morning ‘ Reina’ is back with us for three days. Their apartment is spectacular and they are starting to go for long walks along the beach paths, they are venturing out to Estepona  for their first trip out, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
