A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 23rd / MARCH 2016.

I was up to see ‘Reina’ back with us for the day, we then had our regular breakfast of fresh fruit, toast & tea before getting the day on the go, after I freshened myself up Brenda then shampooed her hair in the downstairs bathroom and I put the first lot of washing out to dry up on the roof patio, I have another ‘ wash’ on the go as its such very good drying weather! The washing lines are no full!!

The sun was out early this morning and the sky is bright blue, there is a little light breeze, for now, by lunchtime its due to reach 20/21 degs and then over the next couple of days its getting even warmer and could reach 22/23 degs! Sadly the forecast for Sunday, the final day of the ‘ Semana Santa ‘ weeks parades, is still showing rain, fingers crossed that it might pick up, watch this space as we had planned to try and get Brenda up to ‘Bar Rojas’ on her crutches so as she could sit and watch the two parades pass?! See the picture below of the village ‘ Pueblo’ on a fine day and Sabinillas this morning!

.
Just as I was starting to type & post the Blog the ‘ Skype’ video came online, it was Tim from over in North Wales, in Old Colwyn, calling with a long news update, we had a good catch up with all his family news, its next week when Thea retires from her civilian job with the ‘North Wales Police’ after many year of very loyal service, ‘ Happy Retirement’ – life is just starting! The following week they are setting off in their Motor Home for 8/10 weeks and are hopefully going to make it back down here by sometime in June?! Watch this space.

Then the front door bell went and it was our Swedish friend Lillimor who has just arrived back here for a few months, I put some cash credit in her Mobile phone the other week so as it would be ready for her return. We then had a good old catch up with all the news and gossip from sunny Manilva.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Beef Curry’ with Basmati Rice, Brenda has just cooked it ready, tomorrow night its find something in the fridge night and then on ‘Good Friday’ its going to be a ‘Fish’ surprise, on Saturday its our regular ‘ Steak Night’ before finding something easy for Sundays supper as we are having our ‘Easter Roast’ on Monday “ Roast Leg of Lamb’ studded with Garlic / Rosemary cooked on ‘ Boulangere’ potatoes and of course lots of vegetables.

Lee & Daniela are now joining us with little Princess ‘ Reina’ on Easter Monday – Daniela is forgetting her diet for the day, she is planning for her sisters wedding later in the year which is taking place down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’!

Before I go out tomorrow night to follow my Brotherhoods ‘ Jesus Nazareno’ grand procession along Calle Mar, which takes place after midnight, we will be watching the new series on BBC 2 of “ Line of Duty “ Its the third series so we will have to catch up with it on another day, its a drama about the investigations of ‘AC12’- a controversial Police Anti-Corruption Unit – it has very good write ups and sounds rather exciting, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
